The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip balm (9g pot)
I have two of these lip balms, as they are amazing in my opinion; I have the strawberry and the raspberry flavours. I have both as I love both flavours and I think they were on offer at the time I bought them. I have tried the normal body shop lip butters before (of which the passion fruit was the best by far but it is discontinued I think which is a travesty as it was fantastic!).
-Product description (from body shop uk site) and about the product
"A glossy and moisturising lip balm, with a sweet fruity flavour, that leaves lips looking and feeling soft, smooth and kissable."
This product comes in a clear plastic tub/pot and each pot contains 9g/10ml/0.31 oz. of product. The strawberry and raspberry versions I have, have very similar packaging as they are both pink/red and I think you could pick up the wrong one by mistake as the text is not the easiest to read in my opinion. They are both in pots which I do not like as it is not very hygienic and I always end up getting a bit under my nail as I have used up quite a lot of the raspberry one - although there are now born lippy lip balm sticks which I will have to buy!
-Scents: strawberry and raspberry
The strawberry scent is really nice, it is obviously an artificial scent and taste but I don't mind - the raspberry flavour is also really nice but it too is an artificial flavour. The strawberry flavour is fairly strong as is the raspberry flavour and they are both fairly sweet too. I do like both of the flavours but the strawberry is my favourite.
-Using the lip balms and results
I like using these lip balms as they are incredibly smooth, gentle on my lips and they taste nice too. The only negative point I have about these lip balms is that they are in pots therefore getting the product out of the pot is a bit difficult and annoying. I get the lip balm out of the pot using a cotton bud as it is more hygienic and it means that it is easier to apply to my lips. The lip balm applies to my lips really easily and smoothly. The results from these products are really good, I didn't expect it to work as well as it does. The lip balm gets rid of flakiness and dryness so quickly and easily, it also gives my lips are a really nice shine but it is not a lip gloss shine, it is a bit more subtle and natural. These lip balms also give my lips a hint of colour, as they have a red tint and therefore it gives my lips a bit of a red tint. The red tint does not stay on my lips for a while but the super moisturising effect of these lip balms lasts on my lips for many hours, which is great. Overall, I am very happy with these lip balms as they give my lip a hint of red, shine (but not an overly glossy shine, as it looks fairly natural)and it makes my lips really soft, smooth and moisturised too - and it is so moisturising that it gets rid of flakiness and dryness.
-Price and availability
These lip balms are really quite inexpensive and they can be bought from body shop stores and also from the body shop website. These lip balms are priced at £2, which is fantastic especially as they work so well.
