I have used many lip balms over the years, particularly in the colder months when my lips are prone to cracking and bleeding if I do not take any preventative measures. My experiences with lip balms have been a mixture of both good and bad and I have one or two which I prefer to use. I had however, never used a lip 'butter' until this Sweet Lemon Lip Butter was given to me as part of a Christmas gift from The Body Shop. I was intrigued and looked forward to trying it out. I have often used body butters on my skin, with pleasing results and I always love the smell coming from my daughter's room when she is applying body butters from The Body Shop which she ... I remember in my teens always longing for a Body Shop Lip Butter - the many smells and colours of them being rather attractive and the Body Shop are always bringing out new flavours. When there was an offer on the Body Shop website not so long ago, I was buying a gift for someone when I decided to pop the Sweet Lemon Lip Butter into my basket. The Sweet Lemon range was new and I found the idea quite appealing, and having used the lip butters in the past I knew what I was getting for my money. The Body Shop lip butters go hand in hand with their Body Butter range and are basically mini versions of the large body butter tubs. They have the same screw lid and ... Read the complete review

PRODUCT: The Body Shop Sweet Lemon Lip Butter SIZE: 10ml pot REVIEW: I don't tend to wear lipstick all the time anymore, but do find I need to use salves and balms from time to time and particularly at the times of year that the weather is changing. I am not loyal to any particular brand and have used lots of different lip products over the years, when I worked outside a lot in the winter the cold weather was especially damaging to my lips and I was constantly applying salves. Some though seem to make it worse, not better, which is especially annoying as well as painful. The Body Shop Sweet Lemon Lip Balm ... Read the complete review

I came across the Lemon Lip Butter in The Body Shop about 5 months ago and have been using it regularly since. The Lip Butter comes in a small round plastic tub, with a screw lid. I much prefer screw lids to twist or pull lids (like those on Vaseline tins) as it makes it a lot easier to handle and open (especially when you have the product on your fingers, which makes them incredibly slippery!). It's a 10ml sized tub and is quite deep, I'd say there's a generous amount inside. The lip butter is totally flat and silky smooth when you first open it, if it's not, then take it back! The tub is a bright yellow colour and there is a photo of a lemon on top. There is ... Read the complete review

I used to be a huge lover of the Body Shop but over recent years my interest has waned, largely due to the fact that I no longer have a store local to me. One product I do still buy regularly however (when I see a Body Shop) is their Lip Butter, the Sweet Lemon variety being my absolute favourite and one I'd really miss if they stopped making it. A lip butter is basically a toned down formulation of the larger tubs of Body Butter, designed to be used on your lips. The Body Shop sell a range of different varieties of Lip Butter which are available in both small plastic pots (miniature versions of the Body Butter tubs) and also in tube format, this Sweet Lemon ...
