The Body Shop Sweet Lemon Lip Butter
Advantages: Smells nice, looks nice and taste nice! plus makes my lips feel really good.
I have recently started to go to The Body Shop more often and find myself always picking up their things and then they turn out to be really good!
This was my first lip balm/butter from them and I couldn't wait to try it! I had read about the cherry one but couldn't seem to find it so I decided to go for lemon as I love the taste/smell of lemon just as much as cherry.
For £4.00 you get 10ml of the butter but even though this doesn't sound much lip balms always last ages even with regular use, so it was definitely worth the price.
The lip butter comes in a lovely lit round tub, which is very eye catching and looks like something sweets would be in! Its very bright and has a picture of two lemons on the front with the Body Shop logo on the front of it.
Going around the edges is the name of the product and some information on it.
The lid is screw on and is very similar to larger versions which they have which are meant for your skin, they are like baby versions for your lips!
I loved the packaging of the product, very bright and perfect to carry around with you.
So what does the lip balm ( sorry I keep saying balm when its butter! ) promise?
This buttery balm melts onto the lips for instant hydration. It contains real lemon seed oil.
Leaves lips feeling soft and smooth
Sounded good to me..
Onto my experience with it!
When you open this you get a really really sweet smell, it smells of lemon curd, its such a strong smell but quite soft as well so your not over powered or hit by a too OTT smell.
The balm has a wax like texture, if you have used Vaseline its quite similar except a lot rougher, so you have to really press your finger in to get some out! Although I do notice when I have had it in my pocket/warm room its a lot more creamier, but I personally prefer the harder version as it doesn't feel as sticky when on my lips.
I do find the balm gives me instant hydration, and it does have a buttery texture when applied if its been in a warm room ect..
I love the taste of it too, when on my lips you get a lovely hint of it in your mouth and its really really nice!
I wish it was food because I would probably eat it!
I notice my lips always look so healthy and have a lovely little look about them when I have this on!
I would definitely buy this again! 10/10
