Advantages: Cheap, easy to find, does the trick!
Disadvantages: Needs to be reapplied constantly if you become as addicted as me (not good!)
My friends always joke about my obsession with Vaseline. I urge others not to fall in love with it as much as I have because I literally find it impossible to leave the house without a tub. I have them stationed around my room: one by my dressing table, one by my bed; then there are always pots in each of my bags. It's an addiction really!
Vaseline is great at making your lips feel smooth and moisturised. The taste of most of the pots is always pretty neutral, whereas some other brands like Carmex and Blistex go crazy with overpowering flavours. It just depends what you want really, as some people like to rub their lips together and taste the mintiness or strawberry flavours. Vaseline is definitely neutral. The taste is neither strong nor weak, it is just nothing. This particular Vaseline, however, has attempted to infuse the flavour of cocoa butter, but this is done extremely subtly. Again, you are not overpowered by flavour. It's perfect, really. It tastes so natural and I personally love the texture of Vaseline, though I have heard others describe it as "too runny" or "too squelchy".
Vaseline is available everywhere, really. I have seen it being sold in newsagents, along as more obvious places such as supermarkets and then Boots and Superdrug. It's very cheap, especially when compared to other brands which cost about £3 per a balm/pot. Overall a lovely product!
Summary: The cocoa flavour is subtle and the product gives your lips that warm, moisturised feeling
