Vaseline Lip Therapy Petroleum Jelly Pocket Size
Advantages: leaves lips soft and smooth, handy to carry about
Disadvantages: can be tricky to open
Vaseline is a very successful brand which has become a household name. These little Vaseline lip therapy tins are just one of the products in their range of things. There are four different types of lip therapy tins, and aloe vera one, a rose one, a cocoa butter one and the one which I am reviewing today which is the original one.
I bought my lip therapy tin from Boots where it is currently priced at £1.99. This will earn you 4 points if you have a Boots advantage card (spend an extra penny and you'd get 8 points!).
In Superdrug this lip therapy tin is priced at £1.79.
Many other places stock these little tins at a similar price to Boots and Superdrug. They can often be found near to tills in shops.
Some places also sell a stick version of this lip balm that is usually priced at around £2.
This original lip therapy tin is slightly cheaper than the other varieties, which are on average about 20p more.
When I first purchased this it cost more like £1, but as with most things over the last few years it has risen in price. I'd be a little happier if it were still cheaper but the slightly higher price it sells for now is still good in my opinion. When compared to other lip balms on the market this price seems to be about average.
It would be better value to buy a large tub of Vaseline, but you would not be able to carry that about with you as you can with this little tin!
This lip balm comes in a small round blue and white tin.
I think the packaging looks smart and I love the size of the tin as it's a perfect to carry around in a bag or pocket.
The tin can be a little tricky to open. Sometimes the lid will pop straight off the tin and other times it takes a little while to prise it off. I have found that if the tin gets dented it can make it very difficult to remove the lid.
To use this lip balm you simply run your finger over the Vaseline and then smooth it over your lips. It's easy to put as much or as little on your lips as you like.
After applying this my lips feel soft and smooth. I find that you do need to re-apply it frequently throughout the day as it melts away after a little while but I find this is the same with any other lip balm.
The tin lasts me a very long time even though I use this lip balm every day I only need to buy myself a new one every few months.
Overall I like this product a lot and will continue to buy and use it. I would recommend it to others.
Summary: A handy pocket size lip balm.
