Advantages: Soft shimmering lips
Disadvantages: The tin isn't sealed
My four year old daughter has recently had very dry and cracked lips and so I had bought her some lYpsyl to try and ease it but when that didn't do much I decided to buy her some vaseline. The vaseline tins come in 4 different tyopes, original, aloe vera, rosy lips and cocoa butter, as the rosy lips provides a pink shine to the lips I decided this would be the one she would prefer and purchased it for her.
The tin of product cost me £1.98 and I bought it from my local Tesco although I have seen them in most supermarkets and you can buy them from chemists too. The product comes in the distinctive vaseline tin but instead of half the tin being colour dark blue it is coloured pink. The tin is about 4cms in diameter and the lid pops on and off, I was surprised to find that the tin wasn't sealed in any way but it isn't too much of an issue as you would be able to tell if any had been used or even if any little fingers had been messing about with it.
On the tin you are told that the product contains rose and almond oil and aeround the side of the tin you are given the address information for Unilever who are responsible for the making of this product.
On opening the tin you are greeted with a deep pink coloured substance that looks like set jelly, the product has a slight fruity smell to it but this isn't very strong. The tin contains 20g of product and the tin is full to the top so you don't feel robbed. The product is easy to use and I would suggest washing hands before use, you simply smooth your finger across the product and then apply to the lips with your finger. My daughter tends to dig her finger into the tin so I need to try and teach her how to be more gentle with it so at the moment I am applying it for her. This product is good it does leave a soft pink shimmer to the lips which makes my daughter feel grown up and it doesn't leave the lips greasy which i thought by looking at it that it probably would. My daughters lips have improved while using this and I would have to say it is much better than the lypsyl she was using, i would recommend this product but i would prefer it if the tin was sealed on purchase.
Summary: Has helped my daughter get softer lips
