Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips
Advantages: A nice budget balm which protects, tints, and smells lovely.
Disadvantages: Sometimes the lid can be difficult to get off the tub.
I am a huge fan on all things lippy, I regularly purchase the balms, glosses, sticks etc and I love Vaseline. Especially when it starts to become cold, dark, and icy. I used this one throughout last winter and I would honestly say I swear by it. So, here you go:-
The product is in a small 20g tin, just like all the miniatures, which is a very handy size as it will literally fit into any bag. The tin has very bold, simple to read information also, and is a lovely pink/red and white colour. The lid can sometimes become hard to pull off, so it's best to give the edges a quick wipe with a tissue before you put the lid on. It happens the most when it either boiling hot weather, or freezing cold, so you have to prize open the tin (This is where long nails come in handy. Unfortunately, there is not much you can do about that, though.
The price varies depending on where you go to purchase, I personally go to Boots for mine, and pay around the £1.80 mark. However, quite often you find that there are sometimes offers on on Vaseline, in which case you can probably pick it up a little bit cheaper. I do not find this too expensive for the balm, and would not personally choose another make (Such as Boots own brand), although I do know that some are considerably cheaper.
The tin contains Rose Damascena Flower oil (Rose oil) and Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil (Almond oil), which give your lips a bit of moisture. The product is a jelly (just like the original Vaseline) and a nice rosy pink colour (which gives your lips that slight glow). The balm is simple to apply and you do not have to use a lot of it, meaning although the tin is small, it can last quite a long time (around 2 months for me). The balm smells divine (Sort of like a strawberry sweet smell), and instantly your lips feel soothed once you apply. The balm sticks for a while on your lips, even whilst eating and drinking, and you don't have to re-apply as often as you would with a lipstick or gloss. The balm acts as a barrier on your lips, and once the balm has completely soaked in, your lips feel soft and smooth. The balm also gives your lips a lovely rosy tint, which is a real bonus for the winter months, when it is cold and dull, and you feel, well, not so rosy!
I would definitely purchase this balm over and over again. It smells divine, protects your lips, and gives them a lovely rosy tint. The price is also very reasonable and this Vaseline can be found in many shops, along with being a perfect size to take more or less anywhere with you. The only problem I did have with the balm is the lid sticking every now and again, which wasn't a disadvantage as such, but just a little bit annoying. However, I have also found this with many of the other Vaselines, so this one has no more of a disadvantage.
Thank you for reading.
