Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips
Advantages: Gives my lips a nice splash of colour, moisturises well when on
Disadvantages: Needs reapplied loads, doesn't heal chapped lips
Everyone who knows me knows just how obsessed I am with anything to do with my lips. I cannot abide them being dry so I keep lip balms absolutely everywhere. I have them scattered all over the house, in the car and in several of my handbags just so that I can be sure that I am never caught out as there is nothing worse than the uncomfortable feeling of dry lips.
Vaseline lip therapies are really good value for money and come in a little pot and cost in the region of £1.50 for a little metal tub full of Vaseline. Because of their size they are really convenient and they take up little room so you can easily put one in your bag without it taking up any room.
You can get just plain Vaseline but there are quite a few flavours to try out and my favourite one has to be the rosy lips one. It is a pink colour and as well as moisturising my lips it also tints them slightly and gives them a little splash of colour. It is supposed to bring out the natural colour of lips and I would say that this is an accurate description as the colour on my lips is quite subtle but it does enhance them and make them look a little pinker. I wouldn't wear it as a night out colour or anything but just for a splash of colour for going to the supermarket etc. it is actually really nice.
I love the little tins that the lips therapys come in as they are really easy to use. With some lip balms that come in tins the lids can be really difficult to come off but with the Vaseline ones the lid just lifts off so smoothly every time and there is no faffing about or spending ages trying to unscrew the lid.
The Rosy Lips tint gives my lips a lovely feeling of being moisturised and when the Vaseline is on there is no dryness and they feel really comfortable. Unfortunately what I find with Vaseline in general is that it doesn't last on my lips and I am forever having to reapply and also I would only use Vaseline on my lips if they were only slightly dry and to protect them in harsh weather as they don't actually do much to heal my lips of cracks and don't penetrate underneath to stop the dryness.
For the money Rosy Lips cannot be beaten and it is something that I will continue to buy for a long time. It isn't a wonder product but as a nice basic lip balm that gives a splash of colour it is lovely and well worth the money.
