I was given a bottle of this as a gift at Christmas, after wanting to try it for some time, so I'm unsure how much it cost but having seen it in the shops before it is around £17 or maybe more, not particularly cheap I suppose but pretty much the going rate for a liqueur.

The bottle itself is lovely and it seems a shame to have it hidden away in a cupboard really! The liqueur itself is a deep amber colour and is slightly syrupy, though not too gloopy.

It is basically an ameretto liqueur which means that it tastes like almonds / marzipan / battenburg cake, it is very sweet and probably not to everyone's taste, but if you like marzipan then you will love this! Having said that, I'm not a huge fan of marzipan but I still love this!

I have tried it with coke and with cranberry juice and have to say I prefer it with coke. Whilst the taste of it with cranberry juice is nice it can get a bit much, when I had it with it I ended up also adding a little soda water, some lime and plenty of ice which made it much better. With a splash of coke it is just delicious, I gave some to my friend last night and she summed it up perfectly by saying 'it's like drinking cake'!!

It isn't something i would want to have more than probably two glasses of at once, as even if you like the taste it can get a little sickly and it is just so sweet.
