Bacardi Breezer's are a bacardi based alcoholic beverage mixed with different flavourings.
They are quite popular and are of the 'alcopop' genre of alcoholic beverages, they're usually around 5% and 1.0 UK units.
The good side to them is that they taste lovely, and go down quite easily while still quenching your thirst, so if you want an alcoholic beverage with a meal for example, these would be ideal for you to drink.
Also if you want to drink some alcohol to look social, but aren't really bothered about getting drunk, one or two of these would be fine for you.
Obviously I'd always say never have a drop of alcohol if driving, but one UK unit is okay to consume so in theory one of these (preferably with a meal) should be fine, although if in doubt, leave it out.
The downside to these is that they are quite sugary and high in calories, so they're not exactly ideal if you're on a diet, however recently, Bacardi brought out a new range of Bacardi Breezer's, called 'Bacardi Breezer half the sugar' which are also available in a range of flavours, but are half the calorie content of a regular Bacardi Breezer.
All in all I'd say these taste good, perfect for parties, or to drink with a meal, but not too strong.
Bacardi Breezer are an alcoholic drink but are very popular nowadays, they're good for people that don't want too drunk. Before the advertising I had heard of them but never actually tried one. The adverts are funny though with the cat, it makes you go oh look isn't that alovely cat, and then everyone will want to get the drink. It's a good way of advertising putting something cute in the video like a baby, puppy etc then people will buy the product. The drink is rum or something like that mixed with a flavour, there are favours like Watermelon, Pineapple things like that. The packaging is just a glass bottle with the bat logo on it which is nice. It's become a really popular drink in pubs and places nowadays. I think the advertising has helped to make the drink popular because it's funny the logo is distinctive and the cat makes you think of it, well with some people.
I absolutely worship cats, I currently have two of my own (Rosie and Pippin) and I also love Bacardi Breezers! The perfect match! I fell in love with the advertisement starring Tom the clubbing feline! He's the most gorgeous alcoholic feline in the world! The first advert was funny when he went out clubbing with all the locals and he comes through his cat flap the next morning a bit ruffled, and his elderly owner says "have you been out on the town again?" (or something to that extent). The latest advert starring the groovy Tom cat shows him competing with a male clubber for the attentions of a woman he has taken a liking too! And when he is compared to a bulldog he gets his own back by going to the toilet in the man's drink! The actual product tastes lovely too! It is a fruity blast with Bacardi rum. It also has a host of flavours, off the top of my head there is, pinapple, lemon, watermelon, peach. I can't remeber many but there are loads!
I've always liked the Bacardi Breezer adverts...but especially the latest one, because of the cute cat! The advert is very up-to-date with what youngsters like, and is really good to watch, as it attracts the eye. I'm not so much talking about the advert now, as the actual product, as there are no catergories for it! Barcardi breezers are absolutely amazing. I'm now going to admit to you all that I'm only 15, but, like every other teenager around, I LOVE these drinks! I know I shouldn't, but because of the different flavours, I absolutely adore them! I hate every other kind of alcohol, but in these, you can't taste the alcohol, which is good! I don't think there is anything about Bacardi Breezers that you could possibly hate - there is a huuuuuge range of flavours available, and the taste is simply irresistable! For example, lime, orange, watermelon, and many, many more! They're perfect for a night in, or a night on the town, perfect for parties, or just small get-togethers - good for every occasion! Plus they're cheap too, so go out and buy some for this weekend! The advertisments for Bacardi Breezers are so catchy - the music is good, and because they don't include tonnes of information, the advert sticks in your mind for a long time afterwards. This is where I first heard about the drinks, so I think by reading this opinion, and watching the adverts, you'll get a bit of Latin Spirit inside you too! :)
This advert caught my eye straight away. Not necessary because of the cute cat as i don't particularly like cats as i'm allergic to them, but because of it's originality. Most alcohol adverts try to attract it's consumers by aiming for the veiwer to see that after a cartain drink their lives are much better, either getting the girl, or basically by just "having a laugh"!, such as the smirnoff advert where it shows people being able to lie much better than before with a clear conscionce. These adverts are aimed at 18-25 year olds with no cares in the world. However, this advert attracts all ranges, making it a cut above the rest, and staying totally away from the cliches. The cat is funky and cute and basically the advert makes you smile. The cat has two lives, one that stays in, sleeps and eats his food, the other where he goes out partying(standing up, cute, with paws in the air.)Of course with the Bacardi Breezer top around his neck! This advert goes against the norm. It stays away from the innocent cute andrex style animals, but also stays away from the sexual innuendoes. It's one of the best adverts around+as Bacardi Breezers are delicious as well, what more do you want.
Funny - cool - great I love this advert. This may be because I am a cat lover but I am sure you would love this advert if you are not that keen on them because it's so different. It's just such a cute idea. All adverts with cats in always grab my attention but this is such an original idea. I think it's so funny and can't help but laugh at it. Basically the cat is a cute normal loved cat with another side to him - A wild side! He goes out to a night club to see how many girls he can pick up from his cute looks and groovy dance moves on the dance floor. I love that part of the advert where he dancing it must have been so complicated to film. Try and catch the advert to see what I mean. I love the end bit where he comes back home and he has a Bacardi Breezer medalion on his collar. I love the bottle tops off Bacardi Breezers (one of my fave drinks) and I usually save them so my cats maybe getting some new fasion accessories . (my cats are on my profile - sat in the washing basket) This is definitely my favourite advert! There is only one problem with it - it's only about 30 seconds long - I want more!!
There aren't many adverts around that really grab my attention but this one .... First of all I absolutely adore cats (yes, I am what you would call a "cat lover"). This cat is adoreable. The look: "Butter wouldn't melt" The scenario: A gorgeous cat who is pampered and just lazes around all day .... but .... when the night falls .... this cute little feline becomes a bit of a "party animal". Using his "God given" looks and charm to it's full potential and he can whoo everyone he comes into contact with. The morning .... .... after the night before .... this cute little fluffball slinks through the cat flap wearing nothing but a collar round his neck with a .... wait for it .... Bicardi Breezer bottle top hanging from it. Superb :-)
This is the best advert I have seen in ages. It's the twist in the tail that cracks me up. Our hero is a cat, named appropriately, Tom, who takes a walk on the wild side, fleeing his humdrum existence like the human male, sloping off for a few drinks, then oozing back through the front door with that innocent wide-eyed look. This is an ad that I could watch with amusement again and again. The punchline is clever, the camerawork classy and the cat is cute. Better still, I could actually remember what it was advertising and, after all, isn't that what it's all about?
The new Bacardi Breezer advert is great. If you are a cat owner you will absolutley love it!. Have you ever wondered what you cat gets up to when you put it out at night? Lets face it, they sleep all day so they must have been doing something in the wee small hours, right?...Well this advert is all about the secret life of a cat. The advert opens with a cute cat sitting in a living room being fed and pampered but a little, white haired old lady. The next thing you see is the cats back-end dissapearing out of the cat flap and the cat arriving at a night club. The cat has a great time dancing and nustling up against busty women, the greatest moment comes when the cat returns home and sticks his head through the cat flap and the little old says "been out chasing the birds again?" hehehe the expression on the cats face is fantastic and makes me laugh everytime. This ad does a great job of promoting the "fun" side of bacardi and I hope it is the first in a long line of ads featuring this cute cat. Excellent.
When I saw that this advert was not on the advert category, I suggested it straight away and am glad it is now on here. To start off with, this advert looks quite boring and suggests that it is promoting something like cat food. It begins with an old woman and her cat which seems to always be with her. However, the cat leaves the house one evening whilst the old woman is knitting (or doing something equivalently boring)and sets off down the street. It is only when the cat struts into a nightclub and walks along the bar that you realise that this advert is not for cat food!! The advert continues with the tomcat sitting with all the women in the club as well as dancing with them which looks quite weird! The funniest bit though, is when the cat returns drunk, to it's cat flap in the morning, (if u can imagine what a cat looks like drunk) and then the old woman says "Have you been out catching "birds" again!!" If you haven't seen this advert I suggest you look out for it. If you are a cat-lover like me, then its even funnier.
If you like cats and you've not yet seen the new advert for Bacardi Breezer featuring Tom the dancing cat you're in for a treat. I know this is already a big hit with cat lovers from the reaction this has got from people at work and presume there may well be a follow up in the future. Tom is a lovely silver and black tabbie and one of the best looking and cutest cats I've ever seen. The advert starts off with Tom appearing to be your average home loving pampered cat, with his rather elderly owner fussing over him. After his dinner Tom is laid next to the old lady while she talks to him as though he is actually a person. He's not just a sit at home cat but has got another side to him, as we soon find out. Luckily for him he's got a catflap so come the night time he escapes the quiet life at home to visit the local nightclub. When he gets there he has a great time mixing with the girls, and is clearly the centre of attention. Next is the best bit of the commercial as Tom takes to the dance floor to boogie the night away, watched by the other clubbers. After his exertions, Tom appears through his catflap looking very much the worse for wear. His owner is oblivious to his secret life and accuses him of being out chasing the birds. Although the advert is only around the usual 30 seconds long it must have taken ages to get the right shots of the cat, especially the dancing. I'm sure you'll agree with me that there will be thousands of fellow cat lovers wishing they could adopt Tom. In some versions of the advert they are now showing, Tom's dancing bit has been extended. It now shows Tom and the DJ copying each others dancing moves. Hopefully this rehash of the advert is the forerunner of a new commercial. ----------------------------------------- Update 10th February. Just a quick update from an article in todays The Look magazine, which is free with The Mirror.
Apparently there are three identical cats playing Tom in the commercial - Magoo, Murphy and Merlin. The advert was filmed in Prague last year and the cats spent six weeks perfecting their dancing. They were flown in from Hollywood and are such stars that they even had their own hotel suite, special cat beds etc. Previous things they have worked on include the mouse movie Stuart Little and they are now working on a sequel to this. There is a scene in the original advert were Tom nuzzles up against the chest of one of the beautiful clubbers. According to this article the only way they could get Tom to do this was for the girl to stuff some boiled Chicken down her cleavage. Given their star status I'm not sure whether there will now be a sequel to this advert because presumably it must cost a fortune to hire these three stars.
