I remember my parents buying me Bacardi Breezers when i was a teenager as a way of introducing me to alcohol! I wasn't one of those kids who went out and drunk on the street so Breezers were my only drink for quite a while.

These are a rum-based alcopop, and they are a pretty common drink among younger people.

Back when I started, Breezers came in only a couple of flavours: I remember being so excited to try the Watermelon! Nowdays they come in what seems like thousands of flavours including orange, lemon, peach, pineapple, apple, grapefruit, lime, blackberry, cranberry, coconut, raspberry, blueberry, mango and probably a whole bunch more that I've missed! I've tried a fair few of the flavours and find them all to be fairly sweet and fruity. I especially like the orange and watermelon flavours (what can I say, I'm a retro girl!). There are none I've tried that I especially don't like, and I don't find them overly sweet at all.

These days, Breezers have their place at the end of my club nights, when I need something slightly more low-alcohol and rehydrating. They are very easy-drinking and go down nicely. They are for sale in pubs, clubs, supermarkets and off-licences. Supermarkets and off-licences have multi-packs and larger bottles for sale. They tend to be very reasonably priced.

Bacardi Breezers are 4% alcohol, although I have heard that the Breezers in Australia and Canada are 5%. They also make a half-sugar range which I avoided for a long time because I felt the taste would be compromised. However, I have recently tried them and they're not actually that bad!

Overall, I think Bacardi Breezers are a very yummy, freshing alcopop. They're definitely my favourite drink in that category. Highly recommended.
