      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Not bad and a great buy for parties!

Me and my mate who I am staying with at the moment are not huge drinkers. Don't get me wrong about 15 years ago we were and often reminisce on our bad ways from back them however now we sit drinking cocoa and watching soaps more often than not lol.

However lately I have been helping her to house clear as she is trying to get a new house and her ex wife has left and the house is stacked to the brim full of tat (her words not mine lol!). We have been having car-boots, going to the tip and charity shops and lets just say life has been chaotic. The other day after doing a car-boot meaning we were up at 4am and didn't finish up till gone 2pm we decided to spend out on some take-away and get a few bottles of things and have a wind down time!

We spotted this and fancied it. We remembered drinking it a while back and decided to return back to our youth for one night only!

      The Packaging:

No idea of the size of the bottle because it isn't actually stated! It's a large glass see-through bottle sort of square in shape with a gold screw on/off cap to the top of it. The label on the front is yellow, green and purple and I'm told that it is Cactus Jack's Classic Margaritas 'Since 1990's' and that it is original lime flavoured, 70cl, 10% alcohol and that it is a traditional blend. On the back label which is a yellow colour I'm told a bit about the drink and how it is best served and that it contains 7 units and contact details for IBC LTD are given (the manufacturer of the product. Nice enough bottle that is informative enough.

A Bit About The Drink According To The Information Given On The Bottle:

Our margarita cocktail blend perfectly balances the citrus zest of lime and triple sec with the rounded flavours of tequila.

Ready to serve. Enjoy ice-cold in a salt-rimmed glass, garnished with a slice of lime.

      The Drink Itself:

A cloudy lemon colour it actually smells of lemons when opened and not as I was expecting.... a lime flavour. To me though it tastes lightly of lime with a slight zestiness to it. It is sweet and flat (no bubbles) though to us it never tasted naturally sweet but like it was sweetened with sweeteners and left an odd tinny after taste way after supping it.

It does taste alcoholic and again we expected it to be like an alcopop really! Me mate though thought it tasted of rum and me I just couldn't make my mind up to be honest!

Not awful and it does taste of alcohol, we drank it as shots out of glasses chilled in the fridge and tried to rim the glass with salt but gave that idea up fast and simply drank the drink and licked salt off our hands!

Not a bad drink though don't expect it to taste too limy and expect more of a taste of alcohol and be careful it may be only 10% alcohol but drinking them as shots and mixing drinks can make you off your face fast...we were lol.

Expect to pay about £4.89 a bottle for this in all good supermarkets and off licenses and places. We purchased ours in Asda!
