Advantages: Great tasting alcholic beverage
Disadvantages: You either love it or hate it
If you like rum and like cocconut then you will love the taste of Malibu Rum. It has a sweet pungent taste with a definate kick of alcohol. The taste is very distinctive.
Malibu is a clear alcoholic drink made mainly of rum and coconut. It is approx 17% proof so a less aloholic alternative to a normal bottle of rum which averages at approx 40% proof
Malibu comes in a very distinctive white bottle with a picture of palm trees and a sunset behind. It is an attractive bottle and a good gift idea, my Gran gets one every year for her birthday. It costs approx £12 per bottle, although I have found this can vary slightly depending on where purchased.
Malibu is a very versitile drink and be mixed with many different things or simply poured over ice. The most popular way to drink Malibu is with coke (original rum & coke) or with Lemonade (my grans favourite tipple). Malibu can be mixed with almost anything though and in the summer I love nothing more than mixing it with fresh orange and fresh pinneapple juice and serving with lots of ice for a refreshing summer cocktail. Served with an umberella and a cherry you think you are on holiday.
Overall- This is a great tasting and versitile drink but I dont think it would appeal to everyone
Summary: Yummy drink
