      Fantastically delicious warming drink.

As I have suffered from ill heath for the last couple of months drinking has been the furthest thing from my mind but now I feel better I have been enjoying the odd glass of my favourite drinks. I love to have a vodka and a Baileys (not together though!) so I have been trying out cheaper versions of my favourite branded versions to try and save myself some money. There are two alternatives to Baileys currently available from Sainsbury's and this is the more expensive of the two with 70cl costing £5.85. This is still around half the price of the equivalent sized bottle of Baileys, a bargain in my opinion!

This drink is provided in a thick glass bottle which feels very heavy and even when there is nothing left in the bottle it still has a substantial weight to it. This is a little disappointing as a couple of times I have throughout I don't need a replacement bottle and then run out far too quickly for my liking!

This Country Cream is a deliciously creamy drink which is a lovely beige/brown colour and has a slight scent of chocolate to it. This drink is best served over ice and I never bother to measure it out preferring just to pour out a nice satisfying glug and enjoy it with some just melting ice cubes. The ice cubes serve to water the drink down just a tad and this seems to take the edge off of the spirit in the drink and make the whole thing just slip down the back of the throat nice and easy. This sometimes means that I have a little more than my waistline wants me to have but you only live once don't you!! There is a lovely hint of chocolate to this drink and the single malt whiskey helps give me a real warmed up feeling on wintry nights. There is something really festive about this drink and it is perfect as part of an Irish Coffee with just an extra dash of whiskey added to it.

I do find the taste of this drink to be very similar to Baileys and I have continued to purchase this instead of Baileys and have converted a few members of my family to this drink as well!!

Ingredients: Water, Double Cream, Sugar, Wine, Spirit, Milk Proteins, Flavouring, Single Malt Irish Whiskey, Caramel E150C, Trisodium Citrate E331, Annatto E160b.

      Nutritional Information Per 100ml: 318 calories, 3.5g protein, 24g sugars & 12.8g fat.

As you would expect with double cream as the 2nd highest ingredient this drink is quite high in calories and sugar but the taste is so delicious that I really don't mind the odd glass now and again.

I thoroughly enjoy the taste of this and will continue to purchase it as long as Baileys style drinks are my thing! I rate this drink 5/5 as does my fiance and I would highly recommend this to anyone who is a Baileys fan!
