 ... it was not Freedom Finance that sold the loan, it was a foriegn company that most of would not be aware of until such time. I just thought i was sold a loan by a uk company based in cheshire but how wrong i was. PLEASE BE AWARE...more

Upon taking a loan out with Freedom Finance we later had a complaint and called their office for it to be taken on board. I was then told much to my dismay that Freedom Finance only process loans on behalf of a company called Bespoke Finance and even worse Bespoke Finance are based in Gibraltar. I was then given the address and phone number for my complaint. With all the adverts for loans on television and the internet, you would think that actually getting one would be easy!! This, however, was not my recent experience. The problem that my husband and I had was that I am currently on maternity leave. Although my maternity pay has been good (I'm a teacher), companies were reluctant to give us a loan based on my maternity leave pay. We originally contacted the 'Alliance and Leicester' as they were offering a really low rate of 6.3%.
