Advantages: Offers nearly every way to bank

Disadvantages: Cant pay bills at branch

I have been banking with Halifax for 28 years (in some form or another)and am very nearly completly happy with the services they offer.
I have a current account, a couple of savings accounts, an ISA, and a mortgage.
I use the online banking and the telephone banking for most transactions.
and have no problems with any of these.

BUT..
Yesterday as I was out shopping I decided to pay a couple of NTL bills, I went into my Halifax branch but was advised that they do not take bill payments (yet!)
So I went to Lloyds, Barclays(gits) and Nat West and all of them refused to take my payments.
When I returned home I called the Halifax Automated service, set up the Bills and then paid them. 5 MINUTES !
