After deciding I needed a loan to consolidate a few student debts I had built up I set about checking out all the companies and their rates. I didn't think I would have had a problem getting one authorised as I was in full time employment and had never fallen behind in any debts and had no CCJ's to my name.

After checking with Direct Line and Northern Rock and being rejected by both, for no more of a reason then they didn't think I had a viable situation for a loan; I was beginning to give up hope.

Then I stumbled across the telephone number for Sainsbury's Bank and thought I would give them a go. The lady who answered the phone was very polite, explained the whole process to me in a simple manor and then progressed through the application process with me. The whole application process took no more then about 15 minutes, then with the following 5 minutes my loan was accepted.

The next step was for them to send me the application form to sign and return to them and then the money was in my account within 5 days of them receiving my signed form.

A very fast efficient service from which all the other companies should take note.

They also offered a very good APR of 9.9%.
