Advantages: cheapest loan you'll ever get

Disadvantages: you have to pay it back

Student loans are now a fact of life,
students should all get them. In my experience there was a load of students who just got the money and lodged in a bank, and got about 5% profit tax free, a useful income. The other group had to spend theirs on rent and food. You always hear scare stories of students who blow all their loan in the first week on stereos and pcs, then get scurvy because 3 months later they can;t afford fruit. Be careful when you finish or leave Uni though because they start taking the money back real quick.
