Advantages: Studants can concentrate more on acedemic pursuits rather than part-time jobs

Disadvantages: cost the Government more money

Yup scrap them, they are nonsence, most people who leave university never have enough money to pay them off, ever. They do not allow you to take out other large loans, morgages are a problem especially if you did something like fine arts, drama or hair and beauty or something else completly useless.

The government should go back to grants, it'll make more sense, we get taxed enough as it is without having this over our heads for the rest of our narural lives.
