Advantages: it pays for my education!

Disadvantages: well really i have to pay for my education in the end!

I think that the basic idea of the student loan is ok. some people should be expected to pay for their university education. but i still think that about £2000 should be recieved as a grant because by the time i finish my degree i will owe £12000 which is more than my dad owes at 40. starting a new working life with that hanging over your head isnt really going to help. Also the forms that have to be filled in are ridiculous and step parents money isnt taken into account even tho my step mum wants to help me out cos she has effectively raised me!
