Advantages: dont blame the sales person
Disadvantages: but you will get ripped off
Hi
I used to work for yes car credit as a sales person, and trust me its not only the customer who is conned. I was offered a very well paid sales job, selling car finance. Until my first day I did not see the office and I was not given a lot of information about the job, other than that I would be selling car finance to the sub prime market with great career opps and good commission.
To be fair there training is not that bad and all sales people are sent away on courses. Its only after you have been there a month or so when you start to see the real side of the company.
I have read many of your reviews that slate the sales people and state that you were presurised and forced into taking on a car you did not really want with a huge APR. But you have to understand the pressure we were under from our managers. to put it in simple terms-get this sale or loose your job. Get an incresed deposit or we will take all of your previous sales from you. As girl working in the company I had to suffer from sales managers screaming in my face if I was not being hard enough, I had bonuses taken from me and I was threatened with the sack several times when I tried to stick up for the customers, but when you have rent to pay you cant just leave a job.
I lasted six months and the last few weeks I tried to discretly advise the customers what they were letting themselves in for- however the customers refused to listen to me! I was there telling them they were about to be ripped off and they were basically saying they did not believe me.
Its all well and good to complain about the company but for people who were desperate for a car at the time did not seem to care. The figures were always shown to the customers and they were given every option to leave. The finance checks were real and the documents were only every taken away from you to be photocopied for proof 0f ID and Address- you would be suprised if you know how many false applications we recieved!
So basically, dont use yes car credit as you will be ripped off. But dont blame the sales people- we did not firce you there and I certainly dod not pressure anyone. Yes we knew what was going on, but I think it depended on the nature of the sales person as to whether they did anything about it. Like i said I tried to advise people of what they were getting themselves into but they basically just laughed in my face because they knew it was the only was they could get a car.
People need to be more careful with there money that way they would not be taken advantage of by cfompanies such as yes car.
Summary: from a salespersons point of view
