Thieves, liars and cheats! (Yes Car Credit)

Advantages: Absolutely nothing!

Disadvantages: Poor cars, mega high intrest, no warranty and you will be served by people who will lie to your face

I write this review of an experience I had with yes car credit through a friend rather than through using them myself. I have been lucky enough in life to be able to afford the things I have wanted with relative ease but not everyone has this luxury and people like yes car credit feed off of that.

My friend in question had an old car that had failed its MOT and was going to cost way over £400 to fix so it was time for a new car, as he travels over 80 miles a day to and from work he needed something reliable and could not afford to buy a decent car outright. His credit rating was not the best either so he was finding it hard to get finance, up stepped yes car credit offering him the earth and he jumped at it.

He went to see the cars they had to offer with me driving him there trying to persuade him not to use them all the way. They certainly had some nice cars but all were way over priced and once you added the interest on the finance you could have bought three cars and I am not exaggerating.

He eventually chose an 03 registered ford focus (this was in 2006) which was priced at £6,500 which was about £1000 more than other garages had the same make and model priced at, at that time. Once the interest had been added for him paying it over 6 years by when the car would be probably knackered anyway, he was paying the huge price of £10,999.

Although I had tried to make him see sense he was adamant that he was doing this and so he went ahead with it. What followed was shocking but in the end turned out to be a god send, within three weeks the car had started over heating when stuck in traffic so he took it to his local garage who told him the fan was not working in fact it had been disconnected they re-connected it to find out that when it came on it blew fuses all over the car. They told him that it had clearly been disconnected on purpose rather than fixing the problem.

They then told him that the car really needed a lot of re-wiring work as the fuse box had been on fire at some point and there was a lot of damage, when he asked how much to fix it he was told in excess of £200 so he went back to yes car credit who told him the car was bought as seen and the warranty did not cover this as they were unaware of it as was he.

To cut a long story short the garage found a further three problems with the car which in total would cost £450 to put right all of which yes car credit refused to take the blame for or pay out for under warranty. My wife's ex boss is a very clever lawyer who told my friend to simply stop paying for the car and they would re-posses it and so after making only two payments that is exactly what he done and they took the car back as payment due, although they did tell him that the car did not cover his debt and that he would still owe them £2000 he never paid a penny to them and has since stopped receiving letters.

I gave my friend an interest free loan of three thousand pounds and he bought himself a nice little 04 registered fiesta with all the trimmings from our local garage so in the end there was a happy ending for my friend but I am sure hundreds of people must suffer at the hands of these cheating, robbing Bas***ds.

This is a company set up to feed off of people who cannot afford the things in life they want or need and in my opinion it is a disgrace, they are picking on people who have very little and robbing them of what they do have. Even if the car you buy from them does not have any problems you will still be paying way over the odds for it and getting into debt with people that are basically laughing up their sleeves at you, find another option no matter what it takes!

Summary: Do not use this company... EVER!!!
