my son recently bought a car from yes car credit .car was worth £4995 market value with all payments over 4 years taken into account would have cost him £12959.he had traded in his ford mondeo and was told he was getting £500 for it.he returned the car to yescar credit within the seven day period and was told that his car would be recalled from auction within 2 days.ten days later after countless calls they said that the auction room had sold his car at auction by mistake but that the paperwork showed that he had only been allowed £200 on his car and that this would be all that he would be getting back.after speaking to the auction house involved who were not happy at all with ycc for blaming them for ycc error and not happy with us contacting bbc watchdog and also rip off tip off site of the local trading standards office we recieved a call from ycc offering the £500 that he was told that he was getting for his car in the first place.ycc also admitted that the car had not been recalled from auction.they paid promptly within five days the cheque arrived my son was going to accept the £200 but i wouldnt let it go.glad i didnt. the girl at ycc agreed that £300 of the trade in had probably come off the cost of the car and that is why it didnt show as deposit.still doing dodgy deals also son was told 19% and was charged 29% buyer beware read EVERYTHING on the agreement forms before signing and dont be rushed to sign just becaause you just want to get out of there because they kept you waing aroung for hours
