Cheapest parking at Luton airport but you might end up with a flat battery (Airport Car Parkz)

I used airport carparkz when I flew from Luton to Wroclaw in Poland. I booked flights from Luton because they were much cheaper than they were from other airports but I didn't factor in the costs of getting to and from the airport.

I was travelling to the airport from West Sussex so I thought I would be able to get a bus/caoch but when I checked it would cost £50 return and there were two of us so that was £100! The bus journey was more than the flights!

I decided to look into driving and parking at the airport. Usually airport parking is expensive but I found Airport Carparkz as was pretty impressed. Luton doesn't have much onsite parking and airport carparkz are based just down the hill from the airport. You leave your car with them and they drive you to the airport. It is such a short journey you could easily walk but as it is uphill it is very nice to have a lift. You leave your keys with them and they park your car in a warehouse for the duration of your holiday. When you land back at Luton you give them a call and they come and pick you up and your car is waiting for you when you get back.

This is a good service and it costs £6 a night to leave your car with them. I was only away 3 days so it worked out much cheaper than taking a bus but it would mount up if you were away for longer.

I was very pleased with the service except for one thing. When I got back they had to jump start me becasue my battery was flat. They told me the battery was old and I should get it checked but it turned out there was nothing wrong with my battery so I can only assume they left my lights on when they moved the car to the warehouse or that they didn't shut the door properly and the interia light was on and ran down the battery.

If it wasn't for the battery incident and telling me there was something wrong with my car, I would give 5 star but obviously flattening the customers battery doesn't make for good customer service.
