I have had several dealings with 'Anglian Home Improvements' over the years, they use to be 'Anglian Windows' years ago.

Firstly I had patio doors fitted with a piece missing, it took them 4 years of my complaints before they finally came and added the final piece.

More recently I asked them for an estimate on my driveway and front wall.

Their rep measured it up at 115 sq metres, when the real size was 93 sq metres.

After negotiating a price with him and signing contracts a surveyor came 1 week later, went through everything with me, plus the correct size 93 sq metres, I signed more forms and paid a deposit.

I was then told I would get a phone call in about 1 week to confirm when the work would start which would be about 6 weeks time, I was due to go on holiday in 2 weeks, but did not receive a phone call before I went.

When I arrived home from holiday there was an envelope from them with my deposit returned and a 'with compliment' slip, no letter of explanation.

I phoned the rep to ask for an explanation, all he said was they obviously had underestimated the job, I told him I thought it was a disgusting way to treat a client, he said he would have a word with someone about it, but I never heard any more and did not get an explanation why they were not going ahead with the work.

The rep also tried to pull the wool over my eyes about the financing they offer, be very careful, it is very easy to misunderstand what they are offering, I had to more or less interrogate him to get a straight answer about the full details of the finance contract.

I also paid out for parking zone permits, which were around £30 pounds in all, because the rep told me they would need these and also for my own car while the work was being done.

I think this is an absolutely disgusting way to treat people and I would like to condemn this company.

DON'T GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A BUNCH OF CON ARTISTS AND NOT FIT TO TRADE.
