Just had three Anglian windows fitted at the front of my house. Was disappointed with the look of them - window catches look cheap and tacky compared with double glazing at rear of house by other firms and also there is a thick black rubber trim inside each window which looks unsightly. However - I thought it's done now - I'd better ... Read the complete review

I used to work for Anglian Home Improvements as a telemarketer. Our manager did nothing in terms of work, but here's an insight into what kind of practises Anglian thinks are acceptable behaviour from their managers:- Being drunk on the job;- Shouting racist abuse on the job;- Shouting that they'd "never hire a n*gger";- Racially abusing customers down the phone who sound 'foreign';- Assaulting staff with phone-handsets;- Stealing money from staff;- Making people play arbitrary games at the end of shifts to see who gets to keep their job;- Constantly provoking staff to have blazing rows with each other (by stirring up existing issues), because they were "bored";The other managers in one building were just as bad. I mentioned this to Anglian, and never heard a word back - apparently this is acceptable behaviour for Anglian.Avoid at all costs.

I'm just interested how Anglia Windows train the people they send out to knock on doors. Whilst I appreciate they are only trying to earn a living they seem completely stupid that they don't understand the words 'no thank you'. I had to repeat those words several times to one of their callers today and then when I started to lose it he ... Read the complete review

My elderly mother of 85 had a fall in her home and the front door had to be broken into by the ambulance people in order to get her up from the floor. We were given a quote just before christmas that went down from £6k to £2995 wit the promise they would be fitted mid Jan. The surveyor finally came round three weeks ago after being badgered and we had a letter today saying they need a further £1800 as they cannot do the windows for that price. Awful sales practise and no customer service skills. DO NOT use this company. Give a local one a chance - you will get better value for money. These guys are just after commission. I had to give one star as a recommendation - they don't even deserve this.

Reading some of the reviews posted here, it seems that I've had a lucky escape!! My boyfriend and I needed new windows for our flat, the windows he had were single glazed and the wooden frames were rotten so I decided we were getting new windows once I moved in. I booked 3 appointment on the same day: Crystal Windows, Anglian ... Read the complete review

I have made umpteenth appointments with Anglian windows to provide with a quote for me windows and floors. We made so many appointments for far since last year and all he them failed to show. One quoted me £1500 per sq foot for a wooden floor and the other rang me 21 minutes before the appointed supposedly in Basingstoke to say she can't get to me or is he bedding someone. Today I have another and he too did not show stating that he was stranded before M25. Another 3 did not even want to know. One came saw and went in the matter id seconds. If Anglian do not want the job please advise me accordingly and I will look for someone else or perhaps they do not need it.

Anglian Windows are the worst company that you should ever deal with, we had new windows and doors in, we were offered the gold card which we too up, as we thought this was a good option, we asked over the 10 years the full amount to pay, i quote FULL AMOUNT, they said 8.000 something, not 100 percent sure, this amount has now went up to 13.000 pounds, this was never explained, would never reccommend and i will be there nightmare customer for the next 10 years, as i wouldn't have paid 10 pounds for the windows, the state there left in. Amatures. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.

I spent 1 1/2 hours enduring a hard sell. Towards the end salesman told me that the price he was about to provide was only valid for that evening. We have just had a visit from Anglian at our request after a representative called asking if we might be interested in replacing our old and delapidated porch and that the quote would be valid for 12 months . All seemed to be going well and we were offered a discounted rate as we were willing to display a board, were near a bus stop, on a thoroughfare etc etc. However we were offered a 10% discount for taking up their gold finance option. This monthly premium then increased by £25 as he miscalculated! The cost of the porch increased by £800 if we chose not to go through their gold finance option. When asked to confirm if these prices were valid for 12 months - the answer was no and the cost doubledAn absolute disgrace and a waste of our time

Hi,What ever you do do not use Anglian Windows my Mother has just had work carried out by these cowboys the first time the facia boards and new guttering and downpipes that were fitted was so shoddy that it has all had to be replaced the fitters have been sacked we have been told. The Manager running the installation is a joke never returns your calls or bothers to find out if you are happy my Mother is now putting a compalint in to Anglian that should be interesting they have left her property in a right state outside with screws everywhere on the pavement and in the road I wish she had never had the work carried out how they have lasted 40 years I do not know they are just cowboys stay well clear and go to a company that actually cares about there customers.

I had Anglian fit Windows, Porch (brick) and Doors fitted 24 years ago and they were cr..p at customer service then and we nearly ended up in court with them then. How interesting to see that they have not changed. The product has lasted well although I have replaced every window stay at least twice and condensation is still a problem - down to the type of glass fitted and their age I guess. The locks have lasted and I have only just replaced them although they were not worn out. I am about to change the front door for a better insulated one with a Upvc lower panel rather than glass and will NOT BE CHOOSING ANGLIAN after reading the reviews.

Why on earth did I not see any of these sort of reviews before I ordered my windows. 10 weeks from having our shell of a house measured up and we still can not get windows in. There seems to be a problem with 3 units though I am still trying to establish which ones.Telling them that this has put our building behind by a month and is costing approx £10K does not seem to phase them. What can I do to get them to sort this out? They don't seem to know! Have asked them to cancel the 3 units off our order, but this seems to be a problem. Slowly going mad!

We have just had Anglian windows installed and could not be happier with the entire experience. From the moment we agreed a price we were kept informed. They were fitted on the date we wanted. The fitters were prompt, friendly and very tidy. One of the glass trims had a slight crack in it and it was the fitter who highlighted it and a time and date for the replacement was given and adhered to. Lee in customer services was always polite and helpful as were all the staff we have spoken to at Anglian. If we had read the awful reviews prior to getting Anglian we may have thought twice but honestly we cannot fault the serivce and the product and would not hesitate to recommend this company. A first class experience thank you to all at Anglian.

Mediocre after sales service. Avoid at all costs. Customer care clearly is not Anglian's priority as the customer advisors I've spoken with are uninformed, disinterested and dismissive.
