Shop around before using Alpha & Omega Builders, Lewisham.
They were recommended to me for a house renovation but what a mistake it turned out to be. Intially the owner was fine but only a few weeks into the job he showed his true colours and became rude and aggressive. The job was slow and toward the end very slapdash. They made a lot of mistakes and caused a lot of damage.
Instead of properly fixing the damage they'd caused, the owner demanded more and more money for 'extra's'. In the end I just stopped paying him this 'extra' money because they weren't getting the work done.

Don't make the same mistake I did and give them any plumbing or central heating to do. I got cheap whistling radiators, leaking pipes and damaged bathroom fittings. 'Accidentally' crashing through walls and then not properly re-plastering them again and leaving the job with some of my materials (kitchen worktop) and many other jobs undone.

Look on Lewisham Council's website for a list of reputable builders with references and proper accreditation.
It's worth paying extra to avoid companies like this.
