Centenary Photographic Services offer a very poor and disapointing service. the photographer, Kevin, is very rude and un professional.i would not reccomend using this photography service for any occasion.very small studio with limited equiptment.
I booked Centenary for some photos of my daughter and 3 step daughter as I thought it would be nice to have professional photos of all of them together. The photo shoot itself was very good and all the kids enjoyed themselves and felt completely at ease.At the viewing 2 days later we found the pictures were very good so We placed an order and paid in full £365.00 altogether for 4 photos, very expensive and we werent told of the price's until after we had told him what we wanted. 4 weeks later we are still waiting for photos that should have been with us within 2 weeks. I have called on numerous occasions and keep being fobbed off and for the last few days I have not been able to get a response by phone or at the shop.....just hope I havent lost all that money.
Centenary photo was a complete waste of time in my opinion! The guy who took our pictures was very rude and made us feel very very uncomfortable! he pictures were ok but not worth the money! the editing and colour of the finished product was very disappointing!!We had the same guy for our viewing, when i mentioned that we had a set budget of only £250 he became very disinterested, rude and very ignorant to what we actually wanted!Personally i would never recommend centenary photographic to anyone! I would much rather go to one of the larger studios and pay the extra next time! even if your on a limited budget like me i think the level of service and more competent photographer, graphic designers and printers is worth every penny!
I employed Centenary for my wedding in June and found their services to be through and proffesional. Considering that I'm not too comforatable in front of a camera Kevin made me feel at ease and we were delighted with the results. His photography and imagination captured our wedding day perfectly and I reccomend Centenary to anyone - well worth it.
i have just collected my 14 year old daughter's photos from Centenery in Wednesbury.
i am completely happy with the service i required, my daughter and i were made to feel totally welcome and completely at ease during the make over and photo session.
plenty of pictures were taken in lots of great poses, my daughter took 5 changes of clothing and a complete range of jewelry. the staff were very patient with her at all times.
the completed make up was stunning, she picked funky colours to complement her outfits and they came out fab on the pictures.
no extreeme pressure was put on us to buy, the prices were explained and we chose 5 pictures. they obviously told us the prices of their packages, remember they are running a business, but i didn't feel under pressure to buy more than i wanted.
over all it was a wonderfull experience, my daughter & i are very very pleased with the results. i would recommend the services to anyone. friendly, down to earth and reasonable prices. the pictures are great and the staff bent over backwards to help us.
what more can you ask?
Do not go to Centenery for your pictures. I just picked up pictures of my baby and all the ones in color are awful. The B&W prints are nice, but definitely not worth the cost.
When I told the staff I was not pleased with the photos, they said there was nothing they could do. Said the pictures where already purchased and paid for. I agree with the other reviews that staff was pushy when placing order.
Prices are better than the larger places.
In the town centre
Small Photo studio
Not the nicest of places
Make over wasnt very good.
Found the studio very warm and stuffy!
Overall, if you live in Tipton or close by then by all means go along if you get a free voucher or a leaflet for a free session, If you have a little bit of extra money however Its definatly worth going to Venture studios instead in my opinion.
When I looked around for a good photography place I came across this one as it was nice and local to me.
Prices - 3/5
Staff - 2/5
Overall experiance - 2/5
Would I go again? - Probably not.
The photos were actually pretty good however I did not like the photographer at all and wouldnt recomment my daughter and her kids to go there.
It is a very pokey studio that would benifit from being at least twice the size to be a half decent studio.
I had a full makeover and photo session at this studio and although nervous to begin with was soon at ease with Kevin. My husband and I were so happy with the results we struggled to pick the 4 we wanted to take. I have since started buying sessions for my friends and my parents 40th wedding anniversary present is a family session with grandchildren and pets!!!
Centenary Photographic Studios are now my first choice for work and personal.
I cannot recommend Centenary Services any more than this but I wish I had found them before I got married!!!
I have been to the studio twice with myself and my partner. they have about six members of staff now all where very helpful , the session was great, it was so funny, we ended up with some great images.
There was no pressure to buy at all compared to venture , the prices are about half, service was to the same high level. The portraits just start from £17 with some great packages starting from £160. wall portraits from £100.
All the staff were fantastic.I would recommend this to all my family or friends!
I have been to the studio many times with my children and I have found all the staff very warm and helpful , the session was very enjoyable, it was a lively fun session which any aged person would enjoy , we ended up with some great images.
There was no pressure in the sales room at all compared to venture which I have been to in the past , the prices were two thirds cheaper the venture and the standard and service was to the same high level.
The portraits just start from £17 with some great packages starting from £160.
All the photographers were fantastic with my children and I would recommend this studio to any family or friends!
I visited the Centenary studio based in Wednesbury, West midlands, after purchasing a gift voucher from a stand out shopping, this was for a photo shoot and a free picture.. Having the photos taken was fine, the photographer was professional enough but he wasn't as warming as Venture or Olan Mills generally are... the prices are a little lower than venture however the final photos weren't to the same standard, it seems being a small business there was just the one person working there, it is a very small studio also.
After the photos were taken we were made to make an appointment for a slide show viewing, the slide show itself was impressive however there is alot of pressure to buy the photos even though I had the voucher for my free photo which is what I was hoping to go away with. I couldn't have the photo on that day and had to return when I would be purchasing more photos from the shoot to obtain the free one.
I wouldn't go back as I think going to other studios have been much more enjoyable experiances and less pressure is put on you to spend as much.
I popped along about a year ago to this studio for a photo shoot there.
I was told to bring a few outfits and props along with me, anything I wanted in the photos really. The session only lasted 25 mins and I didnt feel comfortable there.
When I got to paying I found the prices silly and the photographs were not anything near like the ones ive had done of the kids in the past, in the end i left with nothing as I wasnt happy with the outcome, bit of a wasted day off work!
