Advantages: its free, good prices, no pressure.

Disadvantages: dont get to see the actual window but hey you see pictures of it.

i used a company based in hornchurch in essex called 'The Glazing Consultant'.

They basically gave me 6 quotes from local firms that were all fensa registered at there bottom line price, i didnt see a single salesman! hurrah!

They give you profiles of each company so you can take in all the facts and do your homework and give you 4 weeks to decide so none of that 'buy on the night crap'!

The prices were very good and the whole process took one week from the initial appointment which was painless as the fella who came round does not sell anything!

The windows are in and looking good and the whole service didnt cost me a penny!

perhaps this industry is not as bad as once was.

Summary: very good service- only covers essex though.
