DO NOT BUY FROM THE QUICK GROUP (Double Glazing in General)

We bought windows from THE QUICK GROUP, they were full of the usual promises to get the order. The windows were fitted in June(summertime) but come the winter and the winds, we were plaqued with draughts and whistleing noise from the windows.

On consulting THE QUICK GROUP about the problems, they informed us it had nothing to do with them and to take the matter up with the fitter (whom they supplied).
On contacting the fitter he said he no longer worked for THE QUICK GROUP as the did not supply him with enough materials do do the job properly (so what does that say about how our windows were fitted).

On contacting THE QUICK GROUP again on several occasions to try and resolve the problems we were insulted, abused and threatened on the phone by staff, in particular a Mr MARTIN BLACK who is either a managing director or owner of the company.

We invovled trading standards, who have made sure THE QUICK GROUP has to come back and sort the windows as the ARE responsible, despite them claiming otherwise.

We made video and audio recordings of communication between ourselves and THE QUICK GROUP, which prove how rude and threatening Mr BLACK was, and also cleared up a misunderstanding that the engineer had 'forgotten' to put on his report.

We are getting our window 'fixed' today hopefully that will be an end to the matter, but yet again it is June so we might not know for a couple of months yet if they are okay.

My friend wanted new windows, and despite me warning her of THE QUICK GROUP, she called them for a quote anyway. Mr Black tried to railroad her into signing a contract, when she refused, saying she had to red it first, he told her not to bother as she was murder to deal with and she would not be getting windows from him (a nice way to run a biussiness), however she now has nice windows in and THE QUICK GROUP did not fit them nor will they fit any for anyone else I know if I can help it.

Summary: NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO TAKE THE ABUSE MR BLACK DISHED OUT
