Please please please do not use this company. I have been running my home for 34 years and never in all that time have i come across a company like this one.
They promise you the earth, but in realtiy dont turn up for fittings, or turn up early. I have taken a day off my work for my door fitting, only to find there was no joiner he was off sick, something i only found out by calling the company, they didnt bother to let me know. When i said i would have to cancel as i could'nt get any more time off work they wrote to me threatning legal action.
I then wrote to the managing director, enclosing a copy of a letter he had written to me confirming my fitting date and assuring me of their best service. I pointed out in my letter that legal action was a bit hi - handed when they had broken the contract not me, but said that i had a half day holiday left to take and gave them the choice of 2, but, put in the letter that it would have to be after 1pm, he wrote back confirming that both my dates were availbale and i should ring and book the fitting in, this i did and stressed to the girl that it had to be after 1pm this was agreed.
The day of the second fitting arrived, i phoned at 1.15pm to check what time the fitter was to call, i was told by a young man that it would be in about 2 hours as i was fifth on the list, great evrything was going okay, how wrong can you be, when i called back 2 hours later i was told my a young girl that the fitter had been at my door at 12noon and wouldnt be coming back as i had'nt been in.
Well i have to say at this piont i completly lost all sense of reason, i have never in my life, ever ,lost my temper in such a way, i feel from start to finish the young girl who answers the phone treats you like an idiot has no respect for the fact that you are the customer, if something goes wrong its your fault not the company, she is rude has no idea how to speak to customers or how to solve any compliants, and usually leaves you on hold presumably because she dos'nt know what else to do with you. In comes Jo the manager, what can you say, he is no better, it appears that the joiners run the company, not the managment team.
I cannot stress enough not to use this company, i now face legel action, but i will not have the door fitted under any circumstances.
I have been left very stressed and feel very guilty about loosing my temper, but at the end of the day i am only human and can only take so much. Hopefully if i get a day in court some of you out there will come to my aid.
i will keep you up to date with devolpments.
