Advantages: None

Disadvantages: NO MONEY, LEAKING WINDOWS AND NO APPEAL

Reading all the feedback against "The Quick Group" I can sympathise with all the people who have had a bad experience with this company, I also went through all these scenarios, (i.e. leaks, poor quality brickwork) builders finally arriving after two no shows and not even having a copy of the plans with them when they did arrive. I also agree with the person whose fitter could not fit his windows as he had not enough sealant, as the fitter here also turned up with not much more than a hammer and three boxes of silicone, and left with only half a box. If you dare to complain all you get is deniability and the verbal ranting and bad manners from Mr Martin Black and not to forget his cohort Mr Paul Bradley Bett. I can understand why people refuse to call as all they would get is more grief and intimidation, and even if they did call, to sort out their problems, how could we trust 'The Group' to tell us the truth in their reply, because I know I wouldn't believe them.
Anyway I personally, was absolutely delighted when, the great British public (as they call us) decided earlier in June 2005 to take them to court, after they would not assure the 'Great British public' that they would be more accountable for their 'sub-contractors', and an interim order was granted against them for not, (well you read for yourself),
fitting and installing the goods that it supplies to its customers the first respondent regularly failed, and continues regularly to fail, to exercise the requisite level of skill and care of a reasonably competent installer of windows, doors and conservatories. That involves of a breach of the common-law contractual term spondet peritiam artis et imperitia culpae enumeratur (a man is responsible for achieving the standard of skill of his profession, and lack of skill is counted a fault).
And to use Lord Drummond Young's own words, extracted from judgement given in favour of the OFT (Office of Fair Trading),
Overall, I am of opinion that the terms of the orders sought are quite adequate to let the respondents know how they must regulate their future conduct. I will accordingly grant interim enforcement orders in the terms sought by the petitioner in heads (1), (2) and (4) of the petition as amended.
Respondents being, Mr Martin Black and Paul Bradley Bett, this means that should 'The Quick Group' continue to act towards its customers who have reason to complain as it has done, and fail to take it's responsibilities seriously, it could be taken as an act of contempt.
I was only saddened by the fact the company was only given what amounted to a warning to improve its dealings with customers and not hit more severely. Yes Mr Black and Mr Bett you are still trading, but this fact, in my opinion, and no doubt many others, is an injustice to all the people who since that day, have had to endure the same unprofessional attitude from your company, as others have taken in the past.
Who knows maybe given all these blogs perhaps "us" the great British public may yet silence this, no, I was going to call them a 'cowboy outfit' but that is too high a category for them, and offensive to regular cowboy outfits, maybe a Mickey mouse outfit is more suited.
So keep those letters rolling in to the OFT(office of fair trade) and TS, (trading standards) and maybe just maybe, we will see some more of the respondents in the Court of Session once again, hopefully sometime soon.

Summary: MAKE EVERYONE AWARE OF THIS OUTFIT
