I have recently purchased a bungalow which is in need of attention. Last winter we suffered from gales blowing in from the shore and no matter what we did the wind always got in and it cost a fortune to keep the room warm.

I had sought the help of local glaziers and double glazing firms to no avail. They were not interested unless I wanted to replace all of the windows which would be senseless.

I have now discovered a company called "Care and repair" based in Glasgow who have carried out a free estimate on the work needed.

Although the work is still to be done, it is to say - do not always believe the saleman who says you need to replace the lot - some work can be done to keep the frames you have and deal with the problems. I have a broken seal and brackets. If the work goes well I am looking forward to a warm bedroom this coming winter - oh bliss.
