I am uttery heart broken with the diabolical service that we have recieved from INSULATING WINDOWS, MARK ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD. They built a conservatory 2 years ago for us and we have had nothing but leaks. Up until recently they were regularly coming back to fix numerous leaks. However on the last occasion we were told that the company was being liquidated and that our 10 year warranty was void and that they would need to charge us through the new service company they were setting up. In the meantime we got a quote from a more local company to repair the work and they quoted £90.00. Unfortunatly after every leak is sealed a new one appears. We have got to the point were we are going to have to claim on the house insurance. After spending £20,000.00 we are still spending out! They Stink!

We were looking for new double glazing online and stumbled across enviroglaze.co.uk by accident. We like the sound of their products online and decided to book an appointment online. We have never had new double glazing so was a bit sceptical about the whole process. All I can say is im glad we chose this company as we never had any problems, no sales pressure and all the installation was on time and efficient. The fitters were lovely, very friendly and always had a smile on their face. Top quality job. Well done enviroglaze

When we came back from holiday and found our house was broken into from the back via the window, we needed a glazier quickly. We found a local emergency glazing company called Able Group in the yellow pages. We gave them a phone call and explained the situation, the phone operator was very sensitive about the issue, and promised that a glazier ...

Only use this company if you want sub standard work because that is what you get. They take your money (don't accept credit cards) then they don't care about any problems that arise. Work is sub standard and not to be recommended. They don't return calls/emails and their attitude is appalling. I have complained to the Office of fair trading

Everest double glazing company is absolutely the worst ever to deal with. After a shockingly bad installation last August we have received no customer service whatsoever.
We havent even paid them yet (but for a 10% deposit) and they have reapeatedly totally ignored our requests for a manager to come and see the mess they made of my house - they never even finished the work.
I dont know if they have written off our debt (10 000 quid) or if we will just get a court summons one day out of the blue. they would struggle to build a case against us I think.
Be warned: dont go near them

Crystal Windows, although they promise the world and their salesmen talk the talk, the installation was run extremely badly. No better than a average Joe turning up and running a shoddy job.
They said it would take 5 hours to complete and would turn up by 9am.
The installers turned up at 10am, then find out that that one of the fittings has been cut incorrectly.
They do half the job, leave by around 3pm, and say they will be back the next day by 8am to complete the works, once the fittings have been recut.
They turn up the next day after 10am (2 hrs late!), take another 3 hrs to do the work and don't seem too fussed about the job taking twice as long or myself having to take another day off, without pay, to watch them complete the average job.
Don't use them, very unprofessional

When our conservatory order was cancelled, two weeks before delivery, as the other company had gone into receivership we were more than disappointed. However, we discovered Conservatoryland on the Internet and never looked back. ConservatorylandâEuroTMs design team persevered until we had exactly what we wanted. Our builder was most ...

I called The Open Door Company in Rutherglen at the turn of the year and i must say i am delighted with the quality of service from start to finish.I was really impressed with the no pressure approach and honesty from them. The fact that a qualified joiner gives you a quote in 15minutes and explains there and then what the job entails was a ...

I ordered 5 windows from Perfect Glazing and I can thoroughly recommend them. The fitters arrived on time and did a fantastic job and the windows were fitted without fuss. The reason I used them was not the price (although they were the cheapest) but because of the Salesmans honesty. I originally wanted a new upvc door but was informed that ...

Double glazing is a really broad subject, but having experienced both double and single glazed windows in buildings I feel qualified to write this review. To spoil it all to begin with, my own view is that double glazing is WELL worth the extra initial capital, in the long wrong it will save you an absoloute fortune, and this is becomming ...

Everest Windows We had a bay window fitted in 2006 by Everest with a sash opening. The fitters took an afternoon to do the job.Shortly afterwards we noticed the window would not open. Some weeks later another team arrived an attempted a repair. This was to prove the start of a very long running saga. Our decorator noticed light coming ...

I've dealt with Regency for several years, after having gotten estimates from several other quality companies. I have found Regency to have quality products at a reasonable price. Both their salesman (I always have the same salesman because I so request it) and their installers are first rate. When I deal with contractors and the like, I keep it strictly business, no personal stuff. I don't know what that "OFF" is all about. You have to keep it strictly business with contractors! Double glazing cuts down on outside noise, heat gain in the summer, and heat loss in the winter, no doubt about it. The Gorell windows are especially good because the glass is shatter-proof in addition to heat reflective.

I was led to believe my timber sliding sash windows with weights and cords would be 'B' energy rated or at least if they were not formally rated then they would perform to a standard of energy efficiency that would be equivalent to the 'B' energy rating. However, nearly 4 months after the installation Everest admitted that the windows would only ...

I've just had the whole of the front of my house double glazed and a new door put in by Crystal Windows and Doors - I would highly recommend them. The old windows (including two very large bays) were removed neatly and without any damage to the surrounding brickwork, and I am very impressed with the care that was taken by the fitters to install ...

I found Trade Window Systems to be pretty good - although they were slightly unreliable about when they would do the work (their customer service department appeared disorganised rather than problematic), the final product was excellent quality and they made a real effort to get it right. Also it was a one-visit quote & survey - much better than the likes of Everest and Anglian where one can have a quote and then be told there's a problem by the surveyor (which happened to me with Everest)

Every time the Gas / Electric prices rise, I try and find a way of improving insulation. I have previously had Double Glazing, wall insulation, Loft insulation and have modified my heating to be fully controlled in every room. Now the only thing left without going to solar panels or a heat pump, was to replace the front door with a well insulated, ...
