Everest Windows We had a bay window fitted in 2006 by Everest with a sash opening. The fitters took an afternoon to do the job.Shortly afterwards we noticed the window would not open. Some weeks later another team arrived an attempted a repair. This was to prove the start of a very long running saga. Our decorator noticed light coming ... Read the complete review

I have recently delt with Westcoast double glazing windows and conservatories in weston super mare, we had the windows in the back of our house replaced with new double glazing and a couple of new sealed units , i found the lead time from point of sale to installation to be good we only had to wait 3 weeks and the whole job only took two days to ... I've dealt with Regency for several years, after having gotten estimates from several other quality companies. I have found Regency to have quality products at a reasonable price. Both their salesman (I always have the same salesman because I so request it) and their installers are first rate. When I deal with contractors and the like, I keep it strictly business, no personal stuff. I don't know what that "OFF" is all about. You have to keep it strictly business with contractors! Double glazing cuts down on outside noise, heat gain in the summer, and heat loss in the winter, no doubt about it. The Gorell windows are especially good because the glass is shatter-proof in addition to heat reflective.

I was led to believe my timber sliding sash windows with weights and cords would be 'B' energy rated or at least if they were not formally rated then they would perform to a standard of energy efficiency that would be equivalent to the 'B' energy rating. However, nearly 4 months after the installation Everest admitted that the windows would only ... Read the complete review

I've just had the whole of the front of my house double glazed and a new door put in by Crystal Windows and Doors - I would highly recommend them. The old windows (including two very large bays) were removed neatly and without any damage to the surrounding brickwork, and I am very impressed with the care that was taken by the fitters to install ... I found Trade Window Systems to be pretty good - although they were slightly unreliable about when they would do the work (their customer service department appeared disorganised rather than problematic), the final product was excellent quality and they made a real effort to get it right. Also it was a one-visit quote & survey - much better than the likes of Everest and Anglian where one can have a quote and then be told there's a problem by the surveyor (which happened to me with Everest)

Every time the Gas / Electric prices rise, I try and find a way of improving insulation. I have previously had Double Glazing, wall insulation, Loft insulation and have modified my heating to be fully controlled in every room. Now the only thing left without going to solar panels or a heat pump, was to replace the front door with a well insulated, ... Read the complete review

SURREY WINDOWS & CONSERVATORIES Ltd (Tolworth/Surbiton): This company should not be touched with a barge-pole! Its service is poor, its workmanship of a very low standard and its ability to cope with complaints nil. Bricks and masonry are ripped out with no real attempt to make good the damage - it is merely covered over by plastic fittings. ... Read the complete review

Finally work has been done and what a difference! Installation manager Steve Johnson gets a big thank you from me for following up on complaint and rectifying things to best of ability. The 2 chaps who arrived and carried out the work did a sterling job...no shoddiness this time. It may have taken a while to get the job done to our satisfaction ... Read the complete review

Pusrchased 5 windows and a door from the UPVC Window and door company. They should stick to what they do best, which is doors. The service from start to finish was appauling. The after service especially. I had drafts coming in my windows, and still do to this day. When they're fitters arrived to install the windows. I thought they had just finished school. I decided to write this review to advise against this company.

Was searching for new windows. Have used the upvc door company twice now (front and back doors) and am delighted with them. Front was installed 3 years ago and back 2 years ago. Ayr showroom very helpful and I wont hesitate to get them for new french doors and hopefully windows. The 2 workmen who installed my doors were pleasant, hardworking and cleaned everything away once they were finished. They were also on time which is more than can be said for a lot of companies especially utilities lol.

So far after inspection and all the excuses under the Sun from CRYSTAL WINDOWS AND DOORS LTD, our windows are at best described as very poor. Even there own inspectors said that, "90% of the installation needed to be re-done" Then there the damaged caused by the so-called "Window fitters" Damaged the hall floor while ... I was originally shocked when quoted £1200 by a well-known firm of upvc specialists for one front porch door. Infact we needed two, an external front door and an internal porch door. Convinced we couldn't get anything more reasonable I searched for upvc doors using Google, on the off chance that something suitable would come ... Read the complete review

Croston Windows and Conservatories
One window let in water immediately it was fitted. An attempt was made to stop the leak with silicone. Once the bill had been paid all attempts to get further remedial work seen to were ignored.
A front Rock door had a faulty seal. Similarly, all calls to the company were ignored. Messages taken were not acted upon.
The fitters were pleasant and helpful when doing the job. Therefore one star is given.
Don't use this company if you value an effective after-sales service!

When we failed to gain planning permission we had to 'fight' to get our money back - even although they assured us we would get a full refund if planning failed!

Grosvenor Windows Bolton. We got door from them 5 years ago.It developed lumps. It has been replaced 3 times and now the panel has been changed. We asked for refund and they refused . The original was a Rock door which was much more expensive than the replacement so now we are left with a cheap door with panels which don't match the frame. Customer service is appalling and they were slow to respond to letters and calls. Don't touch them with a barge-pole! They don't really rate any stars but I give them one for the pleasant, helpful fitter.

Probably THE worst company I have dealt with ever!
After waiting 3 months for the product, it was delivered with CHIPS and SCRATCHES all over the show (hard wood double glazed windows). Never mind that, it's been 4 months since installation date and still have problems!!! Do not use them, they are overpriced and do exactly the opposite as 'promised' - You can see the full story and photos at:
