Bought Everest Tilt & Turn double glazing windows for house in Isle of skye and the windows leak. Everest salesman insisted that these were a building regulations requirement which in my case was wrong (most expensive). Turns out there is a history of these windows leaking espically in NW Scotland. Everest have completely refused to replace design of windows. Excuses range from not designed for extreme environments (true) to my fault for choosing them!

8th December I wrote here about my Everest igloo. 20th still living in freezing conditions. Another fitter is coming out today to take the door and windows apart and fully seal out the cold while they make new fitting. Traffic noise is horrendous - depite Everest double glazing, vertical blinds and floor to ceiling lined curtains drawn in ... Read the complete review

We visted the UPVC Door Company at the Industrial Estate, Bilston Glen, Midlothian (outside Edinburgh) some time ago with a view to arranging new external doors and flag window in the kitchen. We chose the company as we had used them in the past and found them to be good. The surveyor duly attended on the day arranged and noted all ... Read the complete review

A few months ago we were door knocked by Zenith Windows (Bowater Homes). After 3hours of 'old skool' double glazing salesmanship (price started at £15k and mysteriously dropped to £6k), we sent the salesmen packing. Tonight we were again door knocked by a couple of guys from Zenith. When I told them we'd already had 'the zenith experience they ... Read the complete review

I arranged an appointment with SHG to get a quotation for some work I needed doing in my house a few days ago. I chose to ask SHG because I'd done a quick search on the internet and found few complaints compared to other glazing manufacturers. The first appointment made was for an afternoon on a weekend at 3pm. 4pm arrived and the ... Read the complete review

It appears that national Double Glazing companies can't always be bothered to turn up for appointments. I am currently looking to replace 4 windows in my house and booked visits from 4 DG companies - 2 national and 2 local. Neither of the 2 national companies bothered to turn up for the visits or even phone me to advise that they would not be ... Read the complete review

I had the UPVC Door Company install a door at my home just under 3 years ago. The door has been a complete nightmare from day one, they have been out now on more than 8 seperate occasions trying to make a silk purse from the original sows ear and the saga is still ongoing. With so many cowboys working in the one company they should be ... Read the complete review

I've decided to remove my revue for the time being but seeing as I can't find a way to delete it this has to be here. Apparently you can't even replace a long review with a short one. Might seem like I'm talking about nothing interesting but until I input enough text I can't even submit this to replace my earlier review. Perhaps one day I'll put ... Read the complete review

We had a major company round to give us an estimate for our windows and front door. The usual salesman came round, measured up and spent an awfully long time trying to sell their product using all of the usual tricks i.e. they gave a ridiculous estimate £18,000 and proceeded to phone their manager who agreed to knock off about £4000 from the ... I can only say that this company has one of the worst customer care I have ever dealt with. I went through to the showroom just off Newbridge Roundabout in Edinburgh. After a talk with the gentleman that was there, booked for a surveyor (apparently) to come out and measure us up for a new front door and french doors. The ... Read the complete review
