After just having a new pvc back door fitted I feel I must tell all about this marvelous company. How many of you can honestly say that you were 100% happy with a double glazing firm you have used, well I am 200% happy with this company. I telephoned lots of suppliers and carpenters to see how much they charge for supplying and fitting a ... Read the complete review

We are currently going through the trauma of having double glazing installed in our house at the moment. I did mean to say trauma. This is the second week that my husband and I have had to rearrange in order that we can have a couple of workmen traipse through our house fitting windows. We don’t have a particularly large house, we have ... Read the complete review

Although I have never actually worked for a double glazing company myself, my Dad has worked for a couple of them in the past, and I thought I would put a few of the things I learnt about this industry, from his experiences and my own, into an op, so here goes! First of all must be the salesmen and their techniques. Salesmen for the ... Read the complete review

My husband and I have been shopping around for UPVC windows. I am, unfortunately, not impressed by Safestyle UKs tactics when it comes to selling their double glazing and doors. To start with, we had a Safestyle canvasser knocking on our door. We told him that we didnt necessarily want the windows doing straight away but he assured us ... Read the complete review

Last year I wanted my lounge window replaced, it was already double-glazed but the seal had broken and the glass was all frosty and steamed up. The 10-year warranty had expired and rather than just replace the glass I wanted the window changed to a patio door. Staybrite had fitted the existing double glazed windows, but I wanted to get ... Safestyle UK offer double glazing and doors, they do not do secondary glazing. They use Pilkington glass. I'[ve recently had several windows fitted by them and would like to share the expereince. We needed two bay windows and a bathroom double glazing - the old wood frames were getting dangerous, and the glass was making the house ... Read the complete review

Never work for Europlas On January 12 2001 I attended an interview with one of the senior members of the Europlas Telecommunications staff, I was told in my interview that I had the job, due to my bubbly personality and charm. The Basic rate of pay was not brilliant but the Bonuses were so as you can guess I was quite happy to ... Read the complete review

After being bombarded by tele-sales people for years we finally gave in and looked forward to being to see the view we had not been able to see since buying the house ten years previously! Misted panes goodbye.... Although the sales people from the company were a real pain this was no different from the sales people of any doubleglazing firm.. so ... Read the complete review

I think it is standard that all new houses have trickle vents on their double glazing, and fortunatly the company I chose put some on. These very cheap attachments let a little fresh through into the house(can be closed and opened) and more importantly reduce condensation. If the company you choose say their not needed by ... I spent £1700 having two bay windows and a small bedroom window replaced,I wish I had never bothered. It all started after having three quotes and choosing the middle quote. Its no point revealing the companies name as they went bust, all of a sudden in the court room, when I won my case against them. The ten year guarantee that ... Read the complete review

We had a rep call on us offering apointments, and as we were at the time considering a new porch we agreed to an appointment. The chap turned up 1/2 hour early and was quite rude when we asked him to wait in his car as we were eating. At the allotted time he came in the house and started his speil, we were very impresseed ... Read the complete review

My house is clearly already double glazed and has been for about 2 years, So why the hell does a salesperson call on my house at least once every month and ask if i want to get double glazing ?!?!?!?!?!?! We have had our front door and bay window double glazed by zenith windows The salesman was very pleasant. We liked the added security, the design is patented and is much more secure than other double glazing. The workmen were quick, efficient, came when they said they were going to and made very little mess which they cleared up themselves ... Read the complete review

Having had double glazing installed in four different houses now (not that I move a lot!!!) I have learned a few lessons the hard way! Firstly, the style. It is very tempting to completely change the design of the windows, but if you have a semi-detached house take care, as it can make the pair look unbalanced if they are totally ... I have recently purchased a bungalow which is in need of attention. Last winter we suffered from gales blowing in from the shore and no matter what we did the wind always got in and it cost a fortune to keep the room warm. I had sought the help of local glaziers and double glazing firms to no avail. They were not interested unless I ... Read the complete review

Recently I have had several quotes on some white upvc windows and doors,I was quite shocked when I was given all the estimates, All the quotes was well into the thousand pound mark. I went down to a certian D.I.Y. store near to my home and got some prices on windows and doors. The windows worked out at an average of just under £200 per window and ... Read the complete review

I was cold-called by a SOG representative and I expressed and interest in a double-glazed front door for the added security they provide over an ordinary latch door. We had our double glazing put in last year, and couldnt believe the difference in our central heating bills, I think we are saving about £20 per month on the gas bill which I think is really good. We had our old metal windows replaced with double glazed ones a couple of years ago. It's amazing the difference it makes in reducing droughts and noise. At the same time we asked for quotes on a pair of French doors and a front door priced at £1000 and £600. We turned this down as were amazed at how expensive they would be. ... We have had all the windows and doors replaced in our house, the man that came to give us the quote was very thorough,he explained about the need to have escape routes in every room, and made sure the windows we chose were large enough and opened far enough for us to escape should the need ever arise.
