Advantages: beautifull place
Disadvantages: none
The Registry, keeping its name as a former registry office was converted into a pub when the registry office in Lichfield was moved to a different location.
It is a nice big establishment with an "L" shape bar stretching for over 30ft, so there is plenty of room to get served when it gets busy. There are always plenty of staff on too so there is not a long wait for a drink. The registry also serves amazing food and has a wide menu to suit your needs whether your a meat eater or a vegetarian. You get the best of both with this place really as it has a relaxed atmosphere during the daytime so you can eat your meals in peace and quiet, but also come evening time it has a very friendly but lively atmosphere to go out and have a good time.
It contains well over 10 TV's with nice comfortable sofas in it so you can make yourself right at home. The best nights at this place are Tuesday where selected bottles and pints are 1 each if you obtain a "Yellow Card" which is available to all students at a cost of again 1. Friday nights are very lively too with a live DJ playing songs of customers requests, and Sunday nights are the famous quiz nights with a cash prize up for grabs at the end for answering correct questions and taking part in group re-enactment etc. All good fun!
I really don't have a bad thing to say about this place as it is just a nice friendly atmosphere anyway day of the week and is open till 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. I write this on helphound aswell.
