just a WARNING. dont waste your time in calling this company (ABLE GROUP) they wont entertain complaints as well. inexperience, unreliable, unprofessional people. just bunch of money making and milking customers money. i had a very bad experience with there people. they will come but will never get it fix. they will try to do half the job so you are forced to booked another appointment with them.

Had a very, very bad experience with Able Group. Asked for help with a plumbing issue and they treated it as a blocked sink emergency call out, even though I had detailed my needs. Bloke did temporary fix but it fixed nothing, not even temporarily. When we tried to get them back to give as a proper quote on the work, they kept my partner waiting for two days at home. No one came when they said they would and no one would return her several phone calls - meaning a waste of time and a stressful experience for us both. Poor service, and no refund offered for the lack of any fix.

I called Able plumbers to arrange the fitting of a heated towel rail. We arranged to the following morning, got z call the following morning said couldn't do but could the come in the evening. I said no but arranged for the following morning. That evening I had a call to say my original quote was wrong & that it would be £60 per half hour plus parts (potentially higher), but confirmed the following morning.Next morning had a call saying couldn't come out but could do the evening. I told them to forget it.

I asked Able Group to sort out a leaking stopcock ( it's very old and obviously needs replacing). I was quoted £85 + vat for labour and extra for materials.The engineer put apiece of tape around it and charged the £85+ vat...£102.When I complained to the company I was told that if the engineer thought that this was what was needed then it was fair.(£85 for something I could have done for myself in 5 minutes is not fair it's totally dishonest.)I am now looking for a decent plumber to do the job properly.

Had a problem with my boiler. No hot water when central heating was off. Phoned PGS. Thy sent an engineer who spent half an hour diagnosing a fault and said he would come back the next day with the part which I had to pay for up front. Was charged full hour, £95 + vat. Engineer arrived next day much later than agreed. Spent an hour trying to fit the part, was unable to. Said it would be easier to instal a new boiler. He said he would put everything back as before. When he had finished he said "All done" so I signed off. After he had gone I found I had no central heating. So now I have a useless boiler and am £344 worse off. I am still waiting to be reimbursed .. Read the complete review
