I had a great service from Aspect Maintenance. We've had 3 different companies try to sort out the plumbing in our house and NONE of them fixed it. Aspect were prompt, good value (not cheap but you get what you pay for) and the guy was really polite. But the most important thing is they fixed our problem. Amazing. Definitely one to recommend

I had some work undertaken by Aspect Maintenance in my flat in London and they were brilliant. I'd definately use them again. They arrived on time, did a great job and even cleaned up before they left! They spent time explaining what they were doing when asked but other than that got on with doing the job efficiently and effectively. Above all, I could rely on them which to me wass invaluable.
Also, Aspect Maintenance now charge by the half hour which is great since it means you no longer get charged an extra hour if you go over time. It's not common practice yet so definately worth checking before booking other maintenance companies.

I recently used Danny Williams Plumbers in Chislehurst and they were awful. The service was appaling, they did shoddy work and it has taken repeated efforts to get things put right. Avoid at all costs!

There are so many negative reviews on plumbers I thought I would add a positive one for a change. I would advise strongly against using Plumbsmart for any tiling / shower repairs. After they did a nasty bodge job replacing a shower tray (looked terrible) my poor neighbours suffered numerous leaks and damages until another plumber discovered Plumbsmarts poor tiling was the cause. The original Plumbsmart job was £800, a further £2000 later and I finally have a working non-leaking shower. Do not use them. Try Swiftflow instead.

They did the same job 3 times in 2 years and now they are here to do it again! The problem is never fixed and the 3rd time it was an insurance claim of £17K. They ripped up my bathroom twice and the last time they also did work on the flat above and beneath. Guess what? The exact same problem has reoccurred! Avoid this company like the plague ! An £8k roof refurbishment was supposed to take 10 days and ended up 5 weeks. The roofing felt had to be laid twice as the first job was so bad !! Tiles had to be laid twice as their poor work caused them all to crack ! Windows took 5 weeks to arrive and the so-called Project Manager was useless. They're great at the initial sell and give you confidence that they're professional, but the execution and follow up care is awful !! They are good at chasing payment though ! You have been warned, they're just cowboys in nicely logo'd vans !!

Avoid Premier Plumbing and Drainage Gravesend , like the plague. Charged £209 to be told what the problem with my boiler MIGHT be.
British Gas came few weeks later and carried out work and replaced part in 20 mins (not 2 and half hours). Rang up to complain and got called a f&$£ing prick and that it was no wonder up north is such a Sh@* hole. (myself having a northern twang)

Staunch & Flow Ltd, 211 Piccadilly, LONDON, W1J 9HF

Staunch and Flow replaced two radiator valves for a costly £196 after one of the valves sprung a leak. A year and two months later the same valve is leaking! The company won't come and look without charging me again. I feel ripped off. Replacing a radiator valve is a simple job and cheap part to replace. The job was expensive to begin with and the work has proved to be shoddy. A disappointing and expensive experience! Are there any honest plumbers left?

www.1stall-london.co.uk: DO NOT USE I used this company to fix my boiler. They came along quick, and changed the boiler promptly, however, after running a bath that evening, i lost complete presure and was not able to contact them, even though their site mentioned about 24hr service call outs. I would never use this company again, nor recommend them to others. my overall opion, if you need a plumber, keep on walking past this one, nothing but trouble.

Don't even bother with City Boiler Breakdowns of 210 Upper Richmond Road in SW15 6NP. They don't turn up when they say they will, they don't answer the phone when you call to find out what's happening and when i did once get through they GUARANTEED the plumber would be there within 5 minutes and when he hadn't arrived 2 hours later they weren't answering the phone again. Apparently it is against their policy to give the plumber's own mobile number out to customers. It appears that is also against their policy to bother turning up to an appointment or even informing the customer that they aren't going to bother turning up. Avoid them if you don't want to waste a day waiting at home and pressing redial on your phone!

If you value your sanity, never use this company. Having not shown up on the first occasion and then being 2 hours late on the second, the plumber pulled our shower apart 3 times, never successfully repairing it. On his departure he promised to send his colleague in one hour to try to repair it. 3 hours later and several calls to their office I was rudely told that there was a problem with the parts and that I should call the manufacturer. When I asked why I wasnt told that in the first place I was promptly hung up on. Two days taken off work and I still have a broken shower!!!
