I had a very bad experience with Able group. Called them to fix leak in my toilet cistern. The engineer came did the work and said it was sorted. After he left I noticed it was still leaking. Called the company again, the engineer came (not on the agreed date but the day after without informing about the delay). He and his colleague worked on it again, said it was now sorted. And again when they left it was still leaking. Customer service is rude, complaint resolution is horrible. Do not go with this company! Waste of time and waste of money!!

NIGHTMARE! For gods sake use Dynorod instead. Firstly ASPECT came on the wrong day but charged me a callout anyway. Then the guy came but his jet wash was broken. They charged me anyway. I have recently had a boiler problem so I contacted PGS plumbers which says it's local but actually they are not, to come and have a look. they charged more than £100 per hour including VAT. They did not find the problem straight away I ended up paying much more than I should, over £500 and after three weeks my boiler was worse than it was. They are apparently realible but they are not! They just rip any client off. I will never use them again and also I do not recommend them. If you need a plumber, get someone you know or have been recommended, that's my advice!

I had batchroom fitter (calls himself graham from acorn plumbing and heating). took my money and left just to find out next day pipe was leaking behind new tiles flooded bathroom floor up.called him but will not accept responsibility, not even return to just stop the leak so we can use water elsewhere in house.he has house address on his card, I thought he was genuineI asked the person recommended him how he knew him, he told me he just took number from his van.I went to his house just to find out it was not even his living address.Be careful of graham trading under acorn plumbing and heating (DY6 postcode).Bruce.

PGS Services are rip off merchants - do not use them. I booked a job to which they turned up 45 mins late. Terrible service!!! We paid over £400 to have our shower pump fixed in feb '12. At beginning of April it stopped working again!! We phoned them And immediately they were trying to shrug blame and trying to tell us that if the pump was not working( which they provided) that it would not be their responsibility and we would have to contact the manufacturers. Not sure why as we never sourced the product - they did!!!Today I was given an appt of 1300. It is 1730 and we are still waiting. Poor service!!!we still have no working shower, paid lots of money and just are spending our days waiting around for them !!!!

One star is too many for this company. We only needed a tap replacement. The plumber did not do the job, charged a full hour, the famous 10 pounds discount was not applied even though the voucher was presented. When we emailed the company with questions about the service received no one replied, called them - they promised to call back and never did, wrote a complaint - no response. Awful. Do not book them. Another plumber did the job with no problems and charged half the money. By the way PGS minimum charge is 1 hour, which is not mentioned on their website.

Able sent an engineer in good time that is the only thing they did right. i was led to believe the job would be done. The engineer did not have a clue and also said " "this has baffled me" and spent most of the time pressing the reset button hoping my boiler would work. he left the job not done and a broken front cover. feel I have been robbed of £100 and still left with a broken boiler. safe to say I will not recommended this service.i have given 1 star for time he got here.

I paid Steve McCalla £170 to service my radiators. As he was leaving, he said you "didn't tell me to use an inhibitor luv, you'll need to pay me to come back to do that" This is inexcusable and I had to pay another plumber to come back and finish the service. Able Group quoted 60+VAT per half hour and sent someone within a few hours. He was chatty and did a satisfactory job but then wanted to charge me for an hour, instead of 35 mins. In the end he took 80+VAT and materials. I was glad to get the job done, but that "subject to site survey" meant that he could charge anything - and chatting time was also counted as labour!

ABLE PLUMBERS quoted me on fixing a shower mixer tap, £160 including VAT. The plumber came to the house and all he did was put the tap back so that I could switch the water mains on, for £160!The shower does not work, I repeat the shower does not work!This after I had to show him how to put the tap back and the company saying they would assess the work and then quote me prior to the plumber arriving. I will never, ever use ABLE PLUMBERS again!I am really disappointed that I was charged so much money and did not get the shower fixed.I wish I had read the various internet reviews on ABLE PLUMBERS, the vast majority of people we DISSATISFIED with their work!!!
