      Hi guys thought I would leave a comment explaining a few questions to you guys. First of all am a telesales agent for Virgo. Now there are a lot of stuff going round at the moment I just want to talk about. And then am going to tell you how to get us from stop calling you. Now first of all this whole Virgo + SafeStyle UK are sister company's (not true) the owner of Virgo use to work for SafeStyle and the original owner bought shares into Virgo (as a silent partner) on the terms that the two company's was never associated with each other. Also in return SafeStyle gave Virgo a shit load if data there existing company's so that Virgo could pitch them on there F/S/G so in return the company made money which SafeStyle's owner too made money. HOWEVER the owner of SafeStyle sold his business (SafeStyle) to a new owner! And he refused to have anything to do with Virgo. But the ok owner still has a 55% share in virgo. So when you come down to the basics SafeStyle and Virgo are not anything to do with each other now. Next I want to talk about this whole both Mr and Mrs needs to be in business. Now tell me if this rings any bells "we need both homeowners there for security reasons" OR try this one "we cannot post it through the letter box because it would be classed as trasspassing" this is because we send SALESMEN not reps or area managers....SALESMEN. Now just goin to explain a few things why the price is so high ect... When they give you that original price this is not just paying for your work to be done. Now say for example I booked you in for a quote on you're F/S/G this is what it is paying for: me (my commision which is £25 for you having a quote) my manager, then you remember that appoinment dep that had to call you back? Yeah a beller there true name paying him! And then the rep! Now it's not that reps job to give you a quote it's to get you to SIGN UP! Make it a deal! And if it deals I get a bonus my manager gets on the beller gets his wage and the rep get paid too then your paying for you're work to be done. (Making sense now?) Also the reason you all keep getting called back is because we don't use computers or databases we bassacly get a sheet of paper with a list of names, numbers and address and that's it and these get reprinted and handed out to diffrent agents each time. And this people is why you keep getting called so Next time do not say delete me or remove me from you're date base or the one I like the best "remove me from you're list" sure I just scribble you off my list so we do do what YOU ask! What you need to say is PUT ME ON YOURE BLOCK LIST (btw this does take up to 78hrs to block) and also threaten them with trading standerds trust me you won't get another call 78hrs after that call! Guys when you are dealing with telesales or salesmen on commisionbased jobs you need to be carefull half of the time you I've it all away and make our jobs easier. Just something for you guys to think about. If you guys have ANYMORE questions please feel free to ask....

      We had 13 windows and 3 doors fitted this week by safestyle and have to say its a fantastic job done thus far!!!! --the fitters were lovely ,professional ,friendly and organised and cleaned up as they went along and the job was all done and dusted in 6 hours with 5 of them working together as a team .The windows look really professional and any cracks in the existing plaster werre filled in as they went along --fantastic job anbd wouldnt hesitate to have them again!Maybe any historic problems seem to be with the individuals who fit them

      An absolutely terrible company

There were all single pained glass with softwood frames, quite a few of the frames were rotten. This was taken into account when we bought the property. We decided to give Safestyle UK a call and get a quote. The gentleman arrived at the allotted time, took some measurements, we looked at some window samples and, he then began to crunch the numbers. We asked that the quote be email or posted, but he insisted on giving us the quote there and then. No problem we had nothing better to do. The price he quoted was £18,000. Not what we expected so we said thank you we'll consider it after we've had other quotes from local companies. Not happy with this he asked what our price was, £13,000 I said. 6 hours later, he told me that as we were "nice people" he could use his "family & friends" discount, but to do this he would take £2,000 from us directly as a personal payment into his personal account, then he would use his friends and family discount. We agree on a price and we paid the £2,000 into his personal account, and signed up. The Safestyle UK invoice was for £11,000. I was working when the team arrived to fit the windows, 2 patio doors and front and back doors. They took a day to fit them as you'd expect. My wife went around after they'd gone and noticed there was a lot of debris around, bits of splintered wood from the frames, packing material and other items, she clean this up. That night my 6 year old daughter went to bed, shortly afterwards she cried out, there was a 4 inch shard of glass, next to her bed, and she stood on it cutting her foot. Nothing major, no stiches required, but upsetting all the same. I contacted Safestyle UK and complained, I explained the whole situation. The lady on the end of the phone was sympathetic and said due to the seriousness, a senior manager would call us back. A month went by with no call. So I called again and repeated my complaint, and sent photos of the debris and glass and also a photo of my daughters cut foot. I got same response a senior manager would contact us. No-one did. So I went onto their web-site and put the lowest review possible on the customer charter site. Uploaded photos as well. On this site you have to put in your customer contract number. On submitting the review I received an immediate email reply saying that they were sorry and that a manager would be in touch. No one did. A few months later half the windows dropped a little in there frames and needed adjusting, a guy can around to inspect what needed doing, I explained to him about my feeling and recent complain and told him I put a negative review on their site. He told me they don't care, they have your money, he also told me the review wouldn't be on their site as they only like 5 star reviews. Sure enough the review wasn't there, no trace of it, in fact no reviews in my area. A date was set for 6 weeks later. I took the day off work as I wanted to be there to ensure the work was to my satisfaction. The appointment day came, at midday I called to enquire about the visit to be told, there were short staffed and it would be another week before they could come out, I was furious on the phone, but I could tell by the tone, they were not at all interested. A week later the windows were adjusted. A few days later I got a call from customer services asking if I was happy with Safestyle UK. The girl on the phone got a piece of my mind, not blaming her personal for the completely unsatisfactory experience we as a family had encountered. She assured me, wholeheartedly that a manager would call me back, I explained that I heard that before. That was 6 months ago. Nothing. In October 2013 I called Safestyle UK again as most of the windows had again dropped, the handles were too stiff to open and close the windows, one of the patio door was misaligned, the front door, that cost us £2500 was becoming hard to close and lock. An engineer came out a month later, luckily I was home, and walked him around the house. He told me the fitment of the windows was shoddy, the front door was missing a steel frame that held it ridged, and that the patio door needed re aligning. It was a 2 man job and would take the whole day. The earliest the "team" could come out was the 2nd January. The date was set. I decided to take the day off. Again no one turned up, when I eventually got through to customer services I was told that the area manager would call. A few hours later he did, full of apologies, but someone had gone sick and they were short staffed. The earliest was a week later. When they did turn up, the 2 guys were great took their time made sure we were happy and that everything was satisfactory. I told them what the engineer before then had said, they agreed, and said there job as fixing the problems other teams had done, with direct reference to the team that fitted our windows and doors. That's my experience with Safestyle UK, I'm sure it not over. It's clear to me they don't give a dam about customer care, once they have your hard earned cash that it.       I booked an appointment on Sunday for the following Tuesday no one showed up- I was told system was down so rebooked for Friday night. got a call on Thursday quite apparent the Friday booking was not logged but they agreed to come round. Friday night got a call from local office advising too booked up but could do "priority" booking Sunday with promise of good discount. Sunday 30 mins before time got a call representative broken down on motorway! Total waste of time don't bother with them the communication between main office and local offices is attroucious!

      I had Safestyle twice round my house cold calling. After initial contact a sales rep. was at my house much quicker than it took me to get rid of them then, which was 4-5 hours. First time I ordered windows throughout the house. We started with more than £15000 and I showed him where the builders left the hole in the wall for him. After 5 hours and a few phone calls to his manager this had dropped to about £5000 when I signed. After he left, I found gross mistakes in his measurements and cancelled the contract. Someone from Safestyle rang me and after 15 mins. offered they would do the job for £3500 if I stuck with the contract. I said, I would not consider this proper trading practice if a company can drop the price from over £15000 to £3500. This summer I had another cold-call from Safestyle. Again a sales-rep. was round soon after. I told him straight away what the rules of the game where and where the hole in the wall was if he tried any form of pressure sale. He behaved very well, mentioned only once that the list price would be around £18000 but gave a generous discount right from the beginning. After 4 hours I signed up for windows and two doors for £5800. Due to a dispute with an insurance over compensation that arose soon after I had to cancel again. A contracts manager rang me and after discussing the order with one of his line managers offered me to do the job for £4350 and no pressure from him when we would do it. This sounded a very fair offer and I agreed to go ahead with the order when funding was sorted. He rang me 2 or 3 times in a very polite way and accepted that it was not yet time to go ahead. In December I had a call from another Safestyle sales rep. who tried very aggressive pressure selling, referring to my order and either I commit to the order right now for fitting in Jan. 2014 or the offer is gone. I first tried to explain what I had agreed with the contracts manager but due to his aggressive way told him I will not go ahead with any business with Safestyle. I then rang their customer service line and spoke to a contracts manager who was as aggressive as the sales rep. and told me he can't understand why his colleague made that offer in the first place and either order tonight or start from scratch. I let him know very clearly that I will certainly not start from scratch with Safestyle again!!! I since spoke to the accounts manager who made the offer, just to be told that following my dispute with his colleagues a superior had taken the offer off, allegedly as a mistake had been made in the calculation. Their windows seem to be good and I had good references about fitting and service but their selling practices are extremely dodgy and in my opinion borderlined to those practices that should be reported to the trading standards agency.

      When the salesman arrived, I told him 'these are the rules: 1) I do intend to get my windows (15!) and doors replaced and a set of Bifold doors fitted but, I won't be signing anything tonight and 2) its not 1985 so we don't need to go through all that old school double glazing sales routine - start with a stupid price, halve it then do the old fake call to the office to clear a further discount - salesman chucled saying 'the rules' He was here for a total of 3 hours - measured up, tapping on the calculator, rooting through the sales catalogue and hey presto - a stupid price - about £50k (yup, thats not a typo - its a nice house so, he obviously thhought ker-ching!). Went on about Duraflex - yup, my local supplier uses that. Plkington Optiwhite - yup, they use that too. Warm edge spacer bars - yup - you've got nothing different from my local supplier. Then he told me that that was the list price but he couls do me a discount - here we go, back to 1985! 'we give 50% off the windows and I can do the Bifold doors for just £5995' (I had a quote for just over £3k on the net or £4k from my local supplier!). After calculating the reduced prices, he said that he needed to call them through to the office - where are the Petshop Boys - it really is 1985!! We went though the 'here is an example of a bad window and here is one of ours' (West End Girls!). We had really poor photocopies of a document explainng why the size of their sealed units was optimal (Its a Sin!) Phone to the office was loud enough that I could hear both sides of the conversaton (not an accident unless he was profoundly deaf) - when he explained to the guy at the other end of the phone that I wouldn't be placing an order tonight, irrespective of what discounts were on offer, the guy was saying things like 'so, Mr **** doesn't want to save money? Who wouldn't want to save money??'. At that point, I clicked my fingers, pointed to the door and said to the salesman 'You've broken all the rules, get our stuff and leave'!! (guy at the other end of the phone was a bit taken aback)! Salesman offered one more discount as I was kicking him out through the door and, was still about 50% higher than my local double glazing company! I couldn't believe it when I received a followup call the next day! 'How was your sales vist? Was the salesman polite'. I could have just hung up but, pointed out that I threw the saleman out, they were 50% more expensive than my local supplier and, their reputation on the internet was truly (and justifilably), terrible! He disputed the reputation but, I was in front of my PC at the time so, read him a few reviews 'Our competiton must have put them up' he said 'I pointed out that equally, they could have put up the over enthusiatic good reviews!' - he didn't have any response. It was only when I told him I would rather board the house up than do business with them that he decided that he wasn't likely to convert this into a sale! If this is what their sales team are like, will leave it up to you to work out if you want to do business with them!

      I bought 3 windows from them last December. They did not use a foam between windows and walls only silicon. The fitters left scraches on windowsills and sharp edges without any attachment. I complain but so far no one came. Post-sale sarvice does not exist! Please- avoid them! Take the local firm. Don't waste your money and your time. Safestyle don't deserve to get ANY star.

      salesman wanted a deposit,gave him £350,when my son came home ,showed him the contract,it said deposit was £250......had 2 x doors fitted and a small window,,,,paid top price for very poor quality ,,,,,,from the day I signed they rang me every week for full payment,i said no when the doors and window are fitted will pay ....after a few months the front door was leaking water on to the slate floor in my hall ,so rang to see if they could come and repair the problem,only appointment I could arrange was in 3 months time !,so made an appointment,stayed in all day,no one came,rang the on the following Monday,was told they had been to my home and no one was at homeand if I wanted them to come out again the charge would be £90 ,i own 3x GSDs I think if they had knocked on my door I would know,later that year the lock failed on my front door,they refused to come and repair as they said I had damaged the lock myself,so had to use a lock smith,called safestyle uk to inform them as to the report from lock smith,they said as I had made my guarantee void as I had not used there repair service,,,,also they call me every month to see if I need any more of their services,,,,they also sold my ex directory land line number, which is now disconnected .do not use safestyle uk please keep clear of them

      Please do not buy from SafeStyle UK, I had the most rude disgusting man turn up, Quote me 6k then 5k, then called his boss who would do it for 4 if i paid now.Please protect your family , I would hate to see how an older person may be pushed into it. He was really pushy , and used disgusting sale tactics of a call back number, saying it was his boss, very pushy.I had a local firm do it for 2.5 k.I cant stress enough how intimidating he was trying to be. He wouldnt leave the house.Please protect yourselves and your families.

      Why can't I leave 0 stars?

      I contacted Safestyle to replace front door. The salesman was ok but the door fitting was a disaster. No spy hole fitted, door knocker in wrong place - a further appointment had to be made to rectify. After a few days the lock would not work correctly, the beading inside was coming loose and a whole panel outside was moving because of this. Rain strip at bottom of door had been fitted with cheap sealer which went grey. End caps fell off rain strip. After several attempts door seemed satisfactory but now the sealer round the external frame is coming away. I dread to think how the frame has been fitted - judging by previous experience probably a bodge job. I have tried to leave a review on their website several times but they obviously filter out bad reviews [keep getting lots of error messages] - strange how there are over 1500 reviews on their website - all positive. I can't find a single bad review after trawling through hundreds. Its almost as if the 1500 positives are mostly fake and written by their own fitters, and if anyone writes a bad review they won't accept it. I emailed them and they tell me there is a "glitch in their system". I contacted them and they will come out to check door in a couple of weeks - strange how when you want a quote they are out the next day. I will keep trying to warn others about the standards of some of their fitters. They have even had the nerve to phone me and ask me to recommend them - NO CHANCE!! My advice STAY AWAY FROM THESE COWBOYS!

      I had 6 windows and 1 door fitted this week.I had new cills on 4 of the windows and had the render outside made good on a small terrace house. The results of the installation are amazing. I am really pleased. Both Steve and Dean did a brilliant job, as did the man who came to measure up. My initial enquiry was made on a Saturday morning and there was someone around that same afternoon to talk me through options. Steve and Dean worked really hard. I was really impressed. I've had other tradesmen working on the house recently, not half as professional as Safe Style. The noise levels have reduced dramatically since installation. The house feels a lot safer now.I would recommend Safe Style to others who are thinking of using their products.

      We looked at a few companies for our replacement windows and doors. We were doing the whole house so it was quite a big job. Safestyle were by far the most reasonably priced. I am pregnant so we wanted the work done as quickly and painlessly as possible. Safestyle were helpful on prioritising us and all the work was done in 2 days. There was one damaged window pane which they are replacing without question. Overall happy!

      Graham and Philip arrived early and got on with the job,taking only a short lunch break,everything left virtually spotless,would certainly recomend safestyle,safestyle even rang the day after to find out if I was happy with everything and thanked me for my order, which was much appreciated,thank you all at safestyle.       I am one happy camper

      My name is Storm Quintiliani, I live in Shoreham By Sea. We had double glazed wooden windows in our house which was built in 1999. As we live 100 yards from the beach wooden windows need constant painting which is expensive and time consuming so we decieded to replace them instead. Choosing Safestyle was not hard I have spoken to friends who were happy with both the product and the service offered. I made an appointment for a sales person to call and explained exactly what I wanted, as I had already thought about it a great deal and knew the look I wanted for the house. The salesman arrived on time and was very pleasant he was able to answer all my questions and gave me a quote, I already had the finances in place and the quote came within my budget so i didnt feel the need to ask for any other quotes, I had got some online so knew what it was going to cost - so i singed the contract. The next step was the surveyors visit I was a little miffed that i had to pay for this, but clearly it is the procedure they follow. I then recieved a phone call to confirm everything and my fitting date. On the day two lovely chaps turned up spent all day taking out the old windows eight in all and the two doors front and back and then installing the new ones I was very impressed by the fitters they turned up on time worked very hard all day barely stopping for the coffee I was happy to provide they covered all my carpets and furniture didnt damage anything and cleaned up and took everything away. all in all it was a totally stress free installation and I am very impressed and happy to reccomend Safestyle Uk to evryone.

      Our existing PVC double glazed windows were 20 years old and coming to the end of their life. Condensation between the panes and the locks not working properly. Porch doors no longer fitting and patio doors very hard to slide. Saw a house half way up our road being done by Safe Style and asked them how it was going and they were very pleased. So got a quote from Safe Style and decided to go ahead with the doors and almost all the windows. A very good team of workmen and a quicker than expected finish. Pleased we had it done by them as the quality is good. Finance now available for the final 2 windows, so that is being done next month.Heartily recommend Safe Style as a good company with a good workforce.
