Disadvantages: To many to list. I will be here until next christmas. But the biggest one is DOT.

I had windows fitted by Safestyle Uk for weeks ago. What a mistake.

There are gaps under the cills and around the frames. My family and I are having to sit in the house with our coats on in order to keep warm.

I have telephoned the company repeatedly, and when I do this the receptionist taps on the desk pretending to type into the computer. She then tells me that my call has been logged for a call back.

I have had one conversation with DOT at the company and she assures me that someone will turn up the following day to sort out the problems, but they never do. I had a visit from an inspector at the company called Vince Merryman, and when he inspected the windows he came up with a list as long as your arm of things that needed to be done to the windows. But despite my daily phone calls to DOT nothing is ever done.

One of the fitters came to my house the day after they had been fitted to fit a vent. He was called Gareth, and he could not believe the way the windows had been fitted. He telephoned the office for me and suggested to DOT that a fitter is sent to my house immediately with a Draught Detector, but they never arrived.

The Rep who came to my house was called Ray Foster from Middlesbrough. He gave me £50 vouchers, and told me that these could be redeemed by myself for everyone I recommend to the company. I had five other people interested in placing orders, but since they looked at the state of my windows, they have now changed their minds.

I have contacted Trading Standards and they are looking into the matter. I have had a fitter examine the windows from another company, and he cannot believe what he has seen.

The biggest problem the company have is DOT at their head office. She is the one who is constantly refusing to send someone to my house.

Avoid Safestyle UK like the plague. Their quality and service is CRAP.
