I answered the door at a very busy and vulnerable time. My 12 year old had just lost her uncle who had died. Along came a ´Market Researcher´doing ¨research on Double glazing¨. I said I did need the porch fixing but said that would be when I had money and now is not a good time. He continued with the speal and I asked if he was a market researcher or he was selling on behalf of a company. I noticed a badge and then said I did not want anything to do with a company who was being so disingenuous. He refused to leave so I closed the door in his face. I was then called¨a tosser¨when I came out and shouted at him for this abuse he said he has been doing the job years and knows all about it. I called safe style and lodged a complaint then called the police. I sent a cease and desist order to the company and an invoice for 200GBP distress. I await the outcome.
