I was initially impressed by some quotes we were given, and once we had signed up , we were told that the salesman had told us we could have windows we couldn't have and so the surveyor had to note this down - Steve in the Crawley office then rang to tell me that our quote was going up by £1000 as the salesman had not noticed that our windows used to be box sashes (I have spoken to several other double glazers since and this increase in cost for just 3 windows is apparently ridiculous!). I had already decided not to go with them after the survey as they had clearly been unable to provide the salesman with enough training to recognise this issue - Steve also told me that you need to be very experienced to notice this and that even he didn't know if he would have noticed!! Every other double glazing company noticed and accounted for it in their quote! Before I spoke to Steve he had called my mobile and left a message, but I don't think he realised he was on the phone as he was slagging off one of his colleagues and shouting about how bad they were (not the most professional thing to do!). Once we had cancelled the order they were obliged to give us our surveyor fee back as they had surveyed for something we couldn't have (the window sizes we wanted they don't make!), so Steve agreed to this, however, today (over a week later) they have banked the cheque - I rang Steve to speak about this and a colleague of his told me that if I should call (he should not have expected a call from me), I was to be given the number for head office as he was unable to deal with the situation. Overall, a very unprofessional service, and I am so glad I went with a reliable local company who actually do have the necessary experience to fit the correct windows of the correct size - their quote was also cheaper by over £1000. I would not recommend Safetyle to anyone - the salesman was very pleasant, but had not received enough training, and Steve was rude from the second we had agreed to go with Safestyle. I don't normally write reviews, but I wanted to warn people! Go with someone local, as Safestyle is all about getting the most customers - the quality control seems to be absent!

Summary: Appauling service - go local, they get work by word of mouth!!
