The survey on the property I bought last year pointed out the wet rot to three of the windows, so I got in touch with Safestyle, as I reasoned that a national company whose ads were constantly on my radio, must be reputable and have a reputation to maintain. They were too busy to take my call, but I left a message, expecting a call back fairly shortly. After a week, I had heard nothing and told myself that if they couldn`t be bothered, neither could I. I got a quote from a respected local company, with a shop in the High Street, and gave them the business. Ten days after my initial contact with Safestyle I received a call from them to arrange a visit, and I told them that their tardiness had meant they had missed the boat. My windows look good, were fitted well and have survived the first winter looking as good as new.
Last week I has my two last windows fitted by that same local company, with a fitter who had many years service with them, and I am again delighted with the result. I realise I paid more from my windows than I would have done with Safestyle, but what price do you put on satisfaction.

It seems to me that it is a lottery with Safestyle, with some areas getting a better service than others, but woe betide anyone who encounters problems. Had I received a call from Safestyle shortly after my contact, I might well have gone with them. The moral is: 1) obtain quotes from other companies (including local ones) before letting a Safestyle rep inside your house. 2) The moment their rep becomes pushy or aggressive, show them the door. 3) Never pay any money until you are entirely satisfied with the workmanship. 4) Take them to court if you have to, as you will win.
