Don't Use Safestyle (Safestyle UK)

Advantages: None

Disadvantages: Poor Product, Poor Fitting, Terrible Aftersales Service

To cut a long story short, they crammed a 2-day job into 1 and it showed.

The fitters said that “as they took a percentage” of the sales value “it was not worth it to them to take 2 days”. Doors were draughty and crooked, an opener didn’t close properly, Georgian bars were wonky, and the silicon sealant looked like it had been done by a 5 year old.

I’ve had to badger them to come out to fix the problems, and even then they’ve failed to keep 5 out of 7 appointments. On one occasion when they did turn up they did no work as there was too much to do and on another they only fixed a handful of the problems. They don't return phonecalls, and on one occasion hung up on me simply because they couldn’t be bothered to speak to me. Every department blames each other - which is not very helpful or inspiring.

I am still waiting for them to fix the mess they made.

I've spared you the four-pages of detail in my original complaint letter. Although this review is short, believe me - DON'T BUY YOUR WINDOWS FROM SAFESTYLE!

I met an ex safestyle salesman who left when he realised the sales tactics were designed to get maximum money out of clients for minimum of product. I was told that they start off by quoting at least 10 times more than the value of the product.
So even their buy one get one free offer has a serious mark-up.
We had our windows replaced when a builder did our extension and it probably only cost us £100 or so per window.

Hiya and welcome to dooyoo. Picked a difficult thing to write about as you weren't happy with the service. Try and write about something you are happy with for your next op, something you use lots.

It's a good start, nicely written, but more of a rant than a balanced opinion. (That's not a critisism, there's lots of rants on the site, particularly in the 'services' section) Things to include to make it more helpful would be prices, range, availability, attitude, customer care, special offers etc etc.

Hope you have fun here, let me know if you need any help onsite! :o)
