Disadvantages: incompetent, dont care less attitude once they have your money, quite rude to deal with if you complain

I know I should have listened to all the advice beforehand but I didnt and I got Safestyle to fit a window and door for me.After an initial delay of 3 weeks due to "production problems" I was told, my window and door was fitted a few weeks ago.I signed the piece of paper thrust in my direction by the fitter,"just to say we`ve cleaned up and that" he said.
All looked well at first,but on closer inspection the door had a 4" scratch down the inside of a panel where a Stanley knife had been used to cut off stickers/shrinkwrap or whatever,a small dent on the outer panel as well as a oor knocker that must have been put on by a cross eyed person as it is 10mm out of line from top to bottom.Worst of all was the 3" scratch in the outer pane of glass that we thought was adhesive from labelling or mastic that now sticks out like a sore thumb from every angle.and a smaller scratch on the middle pane.This was reported to the famous "call back in 48 hour helpline" which suprise suprise never called back in 48 hours.So we called again to be told someone would ring back in??
Yes,48 hours!
To cut a very long story short we eventually (3 days later) spoke to a manager (i think) who said,"fear not the fitting team will be with you this friday".
Guess what?? No show!
Rang the incompetence hotline to be told,"we will get back to you"
No-one did!
Still waiting,but have a new date for this Friday to fit 2 new units that no-one has even measured up yet so i dont hold out much hope.It all seems fairly trivial compared to some of the problems Ive read about on here but £1000 is alot of money for us.I need 4 more windows and a door yet but WILL NEVER use Safestyle again
