Has anyone been told that condensation in between the panes isn't covered by the 10 year guarantee, or does anyone have a copy of the actual guarantee?

Utter Crapp!!Igot 6 windows from safestyle 4 yrs ago and i had trouble from day one. they're badly fitted, condensation is a big problem, i've had them out time and time again.I have been intouch with consumer advice, safe style fobbed them off and the glass federation who took their side. they came out to me with this £4000 gadget that tests for draughts on a summers day,they never come out in the winter when the problems arise. some of the reasons i have been given for having condensation on the windows are bizzare, i was asked if i drank!! as alcohol makes you breathe more water out as you sleep!! heater not being under the window, its the house, dont have baths on an evening as the steam will travel to other rooms.. it goes on. They should be made to put things right. nightmare aint the word.

I was originally shocked when quoted £1200 by Safestyle for one front porch door. Infact we needed two, an external front door and an internal porch door. Their product is OK, you get what you pay for, just be careful with ordering, it can get very expensive if you order the wrong thing and listen to what sales person tells you, they are hard sales, so beware!

Their customer service is dreadful!!! They call at stupid times of the day, really early or really late. Guys don't know what customer service means! They are rude and the thing that angered me the most is that they are liars!! They said we would have fitting between 8 and 10 AM, then they called us to say that their van broke down so it would be early lunchtime. They turned up after 3 PM and said that the van never broke down, the office lied as they had "more important" job to do first! I rest my case.

We have had Safestyle windows and doors in our whole house now for 6 years. The initial salesman matches everyones nightmare (pushy and wouldn't leave). We did however get a very good price BUT I believe for an inferior product. I have since learnt more about windows and doors due to the fact that Safestyle have been back to our house 3 times since the install to fix various issues and we still need them back to fix 2 windows and the back door. To be honest I wouldn't ever recomend them even at the low price they are.

I agree with the experiences of sales team that others have mentioned down to the exact details. This must mean that they are trained to act this way. Do not invite them in your home and if you do expect a very hard sell! VERY POOR WORKMANSHIP TOTAL COWBOYS. THEY DAMAGED THE WINDOWS AND POOR FILLERS USED AND LEFT GAPS INTIALLY, TO BE FAIR THEY WERE REINSTALLED ALTHOUGH FILLER MISSED FROM ONE OF THE TRIMS...SUBSEQUENTLY HAD CONTRACTED FOR REAR WINDOWS BUT THEN THEY INSISTED ON SCAFFOLDING AND DEMANDED £600 HOWEVER I MADE INDEPENDENT ENQUIRIES AND THE HIGHEST FEE WAS £150 THEY WERE OBVIOUSLY PROFITEERING. I WOULD DEFINITELY AVOID THIS FIRM...THERE IS ALSO A MYTH REGARDING THEIR CLAIMS BUY THE FRONT AND GET THE BACK WINDOWS FREE. YOU DONT SO BE AWARE...THEY WERE VERY POLITE WHILST TAKING THE MONEY OFF ME BUT ABSOLUTELY USELESS OTHERWISE.

This company must be franchised and the service you get seems to vary, reading the different reviews. We had a salesman in to get a quote and I was adamant I wasn't going to commit that day. I installed safestyle double glazed windows. The installation seemd ok but the windows began to 'steam up' within about 6 months.

Safe style failed to rectify the problem.

After 6 years the steaming up grew worse so I contacted Safestyle again, thinking the windows were guaranteed for 10 years.

To my surprise I discovered that the glass windows were only guaranteed for 5 years, not 10.

So I am left with steamed up windows.

Avoid at all costs.

Incompetent . These cowboys shouldn't be allowed to trade. If you're thinking of getting windows from this lot, DON'T. We had our perfectly sound wooden windows replaced by these idiots. We had the sames sales patter but pressurised the salesman to include a special condion of a 3 month cooling off period with no obligation to go ahead. So we basically got a quote that was good for 3 months. Eventually we decided to go with them - £4000 incl VAT, fitting and a 10 year guarantee for 13 windows was lower than the local companies were offering.

The windows were fitted within 1 day with no mess and very pleasant fitters. We signed the satisfaction survey with the caveat that things seemed ok but we are not experts in fitting double glazing.

So far so good.
The key is to play them at their own game.

We had a quotation from Safestyle from a salesman who took 3 hours to measure up and pretend to do his sums, phone his boss to authorise a discount twice, all the tricks seen on Rogue Traders and the like.
