Soap is a word which covers a massive range of products - from bars so harsh they'd wash the freckles off your nose to seriously luxurious beauty treatments that offer positive skincare benefits. This range from the trendy L'Occitane comes from the latter end of the spectrum - but without the price tag you might expect. While they're certainly not bargain basement, for a couple of pounds you can pick up a bar which contains nothing but natural ingredients (and no slaughterhouse by-products) and which smells seriously expensive. I myself have very sensitive skin and as a result I cannot use shaving foam or anything similar as it is too harsh. I bought this soap from a department store after seeing it on QVC and thought that I would give it a try and I was very pleased with what I found. I use this everytime to shave my legs and have never once had a reaction with it. This soap comes in many different scents such as Verbena (a lemony fresh smell) Honeysuckle, Ylang Ylang, Milk (no fragrance), Bourbon Vanilla ( a chocolatey ... Read the complete review

Received this soap as a freebie from miam-miam.co.uk with my order for a few L'Occitane goodies. I received the 'sweet lemon' scented soap. Firstly the packaging. It is packaged in old fashioned brown paper, which gives quite a traditional but substantial look. On opening the soap is square in shape an embossed with the words L'Occitane. The scent of sweet lemon is quite sweet, almost like the smell of boiled sweets! Very pleasant though and refreshing. Probably the best part of the soap though is its very rich lather and gentle feel - this is probably from the shea butter milk that is the main ingredient of the soap. Shea Butter is made from the fruits of the ... Read the complete review
