L'Oreal Paris Double Extension Renewal Serum Inside Mascara
by SkateyKaty71
To say I am fussy about mascara is an under statement! I want to gain the effect of longer thicker lashes but always seem to end up with short clumpy lashes not the look I am looking for. I,look at all the adverts advertising these lush lashes and I have probably spen a small fortune if I were brave enough to,add it all up! ...
Luckily I was bought this as a present and yes sadly got quite excited about trying it out!
So,after indulging in a good facial and ensuring all traces of my makeup removed I removed the mascara from its packaging.
The serum went on very smoothly and evenly almost felt like putting Vaseline on my lashes ! And then I,put the top coat on which in all fairness did not clum at all. The brush was adequate although I,do,prefer a thick brush as I feel you get a far better coverage.
Yes my eyelashes did look thicker and there was certainly no clumping. After a days work my eyelashes still looked full and there was still no,clogging which I was very impressed with!
The item is describe as follows
Step 1: The Lash Boosting Primer is serum-infused to boost lash condition. It contains a pro-keratin complex that fortifies lashes and maximizes their appearance.
Step 2: The Ultra-Lengthening Mascara Topcoat coats and lengthens lashes instantly, for up to 80% longer, clum-free fringe.
For boosted results, use the mascara daily with Concentrated Lash Boosting Serum.
The mascara is 2x 6ml.
In my opinion this mascara has certainly worked for me and I would recommend it
I have researched the prices (as it was a gift) most places advertise it from £5.00 and to me that is worth every penny for clump free lashes! Read the complete review |

L'Oreal Elvive Colour Protect Conditioner
by Whizz11
I am not that picky when it comes to what shampoo and conditioner I use. I like to chop and change depending on what my hair needs that particular week or month or what is on offer in the shops when I go to buy it. One thing I am quite particular about though is that my shampoo and conditioner match. I'm not sure exactly how much ... difference it makes but I always get scared when they say on the shampoo bottle, "For best results use in conjunction with our conditioner too." So, with that being said when I bought some L'oreal Elvive colour protect shampoo I also bought the accompanying conditioner too. They were on half price special in Boots which is what initially attracted me to them and also I bought them because I have highlighted hair and so want to keep it looking as good as I can.
I need to use conditioner every time I shampoo otherwise my hair is very tangly after I have washed it and does not brush easily when it is wet or does not style well after I have dried it.
L'oreal say that this colour protect conditioner, "smoothes the hair fibres and detangles leaving coloured or highlighted hair looking radiant. Enriched with UV filters your hair is better protected against daily aggressions and colour stays truer for longer. This is exactly what I was looking for a conditioner to do so I was excited to try it in conjunction with the shampoo. The conditioner has the same gorgeous smell as the shampoo, a sort of sweet cherry smell and it makes my hair smell wonderful afterwards. The conditioner is fairly thick and creamy and an off white colour, I apply it just past my roots in the shower and then work it through my hair with my fingertips. Then I actually let it sit on my hair for five minutes or so to really let it work and then simply wash it out. It never makes my hair sticky or greasy or unmanageable. I also think this conditioner has been good for my colour. Used in conjunction with the shampoo it's kept my hair brighter for about 5 or 6 weeks rather than my usual 3 so this is great for me.
Apparently, "L'Oréal Paris has developed Elvive Colour Protect for the care of coloured or highlighted hair.
The Colour Protect formulas contain a Light Reflecting System. They visibly enhance colour radiance and help protect hair- up to 80% more colour radiance protection!"
I think it works for me and I would definitely recommend it to you too. A 400ml bottle costs £3.99. Read the complete review |

L'Oreal Max Factor Lipfinity Lasting Lip Tint Pen
by amyboosimpson
THE PRODUCT
_____________
From the MaxFactor range of lip tint pens, Im writing about Royal plum colour. Lip tint pens first hit the scence in 2011 and have been gaining popularity since. It is a matte stain of colour applied to the lips as a base and it stains the skin so it doesnt come off, not even after eating drinking or ... kissing. MaxFactor were one of the first to bring out the pens. The range only has 3 colours, royal plum (deep purple colour) Berry burst (pale peachy colour) and pink petal (bright pink colour)
These are avaliable at most cosmetic counters and pharmacys and even supermarkets and todays price in Boots is £6.99.
MY EXPERIENCE
_____________
I bought this because I wear bright red lipstick most of the time, and Im always reapplying so I thought I could buy a tint to go under and even if the red wears off there would still be some colour. I chose MaxFactor as it was one of the first to bring out the pens and iit is in my opinion a respectable brand. The pen is a thick cylinder which is black with coloured writing (of the colour of the tint) and the cap and end of the pen are also the colour of the tint. When you take the cap off the nib is the same as a felt tip pen only thicker. To apply make sure lips are dry and free from dirt or food, and just draw on. You do have to be careful as if you go wrong then its difficult to get off because it drys very quickly. The colour comes out quiet strong but if you want it darker just go over it a couple of times. The colour is very thin and you cant feel it on your lips at all. Make sure you 'click' the cap back on so as not to dry out the pen. Easy! To remove just use your normal make up remover.
MY OPINION
__________
I do adore this product, I literally put it on and can eat and drink and nothing comes off. NOTHING! The colour is good on it and I like the fact that you can control how much colour you have. At £6.99 some would say thats a bit steep but I'm still using mine that I bought in 2011 and it hasnt dried out even a bit, its the same as the day I bought it. So it is actually excellent value for money. Now it normally lasts about 6-8 hours I find then you have to reapply but I think thats brilliant coverage.
The only downside for me is the lack of variety in the colours...... only 3 thats rubbish!!! especially when competitors have got a range of 12-15 colours. Still I would buy this again, if i ever need a new one, and if they bought out new colours I would be buying those colours too.
4 out of 5 as it loses a point on the colour variety, but a strong yes to recommending it.
Thanks for reading.
